Drastic Measures Taken to Return Company to Fighting Strength
MAY, 3050 — Last week’s report found the forces of the Great Wall in a sorry state, being committed to the Romano Liao Center for Veterans of Interplanetary Wars. Though having been sent to the center to receive the most innovative care for the effects of Post Tukayyid Stress Disorder, the Chancellor and her trusted military advisors expressed concern for the Liao borders. Grossly under-defended with the ailing Gatekeepers leaving a hole in the Great Wall, it was advised to expedite their convalescence… by any means necessary.
Those who remained in the Center were shuffled ,witless, into the depths of the facility, where ancient, barbaric methods were applied to return them to the battlefield quickly, if messily. Electro-shocked, slapped, and in one case lobotomized back into fighting shape. Like it’s namesake, in a time of desperation the center had a dark side.
Horrible as the treatment was, it proved an effective one, as the Gatekeepers were returned quickly, if messily to the battlefield. Now with the benefit of a renewed, maligned bloodlust. The Great Wall is returned to the pure Davion destroying power we have come to love, and feel safe behind on the fringes of Capellan space.

New Battalion Nameplates to Roll Out
MAY 18th, 3050 — Recently, a new design for Gatekeepers nameplates was announced by the Command Staff. The design prominently features pilot information on a black marble background that looks as cold as the pilots it represents.
All recent medals and decorations will be displayed along with rank, name, and pilot’s personal insignia. Personally, I think the new black background looks like a winner.

New Recruitment Drive to Begin This Week
MAY 18th, 3050 — This week, in an effort to grow the [HLGK] numbers, a new recruitment drive will begin to usher more pilots into the cadre of devoted Gatekeepers. To build interest for the battalion, the Gatekeepers’ recruitment officer T. G. Cid will be introducing a new recruitment video. All new recruits are requested to report to the recruitment officer, when available, for orientation.

Ricky Raygun and the Bombshells to play Vientiane Coliseum
MAY, 3050 — That lovable rogue, Ricky Raygun will be bringing his Sphere-wide Tour to Vientiane later this month, accompanied by his buxom beauties of interstellar beats, the Bombshells. The Band is returning later this month to the Vientiane Coliseum to play a two-hour set guaranteed to blow the socks off listeners from here all the way to Sian. Roxy Raygun, one of the Bombshells, confided in private to this reporter that the show was planned to be absolute dynamite for the band’s favorite venue.

Ahead of Recruitment Drive Gatekeepers Redouble Certification Effort
MAY 18th, 3050 — Its quiz time, Gatekeepers. The overall completion of Certifications unit-wide is dismal. Resting at a level sickeningly below 60%, the Command Staff is now on the hunt for Gatekeepers who are delinquent in the necessary certifications armed with bamboo canes.
Gatekeepers are advised to visit the Community Manager and review the Certifications section across from their names to determine what sections must be tested. Find an Officer (Sang-Wei or above) to help locate the information on the spreadsheet, or issue the needed Certification. This is your last opportunity to avoid a caning, or worse. Completing all certifications will go a long way to bringing the Gatekeepers Battalion back to it’s status as a mean, green, fighting machine.

New Combat Plans Rolling Out
MAY, 3050 — A new set of plans, as secretive as they are deadly, are being worked on currently in the Command Tower. The plans, designed to increase the killing efficiency of the Gatekeepers ranks. The Commander is currently holding onto the newly-drafted battle plans with intentions to deploy the draft once the DropShips are full to capacity.

No, Really, When we Said “Isolation” we Meant It
MAY, 3050 — The Zhong-Shao has been dismayed as of late, following pub matches and Community Warfare battles wherein sworn Gatekeepers were grouped with players not in the [HLGK] unit on a company practice night. In addition to putting the Commander in a very bad mood, it places the pilot on very thin ice. It is necessary for all pilots to be online and in Purvo Actual, the Gatekeepers TS, with the Battalion on the designated practice nights. As the Zhong-Shao was quoted in the Command Tower, saying:
“If [you] don’t understand the basic principle, you don’t need to waste [your] time or ours.”

New League Forms in Response to MRBC Beginning to Collapse
MAY 18th, 3050 — A new competition League is being formed on Purvo in response to the slow death of the MRBC tournament. The new league has been termed the HVP (Honor, Valor, Pride) and is seeking new contenders. If you, or someone you know has a team ready and raring for a competition that will test your mettle. Contact Zvolimir the Blackhand to join. A league so serious, we already have a theme song.

Help Wanted: Positions Open For New Officers & More
Positions are available for both Command and Contribution staffs. The positions are demanding, but open to all interested and capable applicants. Inquire about the position to the Zhong-Shao if you think you have what it takes.
1) Sang-Wei, 2nd Company – An officer position is currently open. Reserve company is staffed but is depleted. This is a tough job, and can be stressful for the wrong people. The Command Staff is very helpful, and not at all as bad as they say. Combat operations command and other leadership duties at the lance level expected as normal.
2) Patch Review Assistant – Assistant to Stoneblade. Help coordinate with the Zhong-Shao to create a new and improved Patch Review that publishes approx. 1 week after every upcoming patch hits. Video, Sound, Art or Writing skills preferable, and the more of those skills you have the more awesome a production can be made.
3) 2-4 Additional Tactical Researchers – Help solve tactical and strategic issues as part of a think-tank of enlisted personnel. Sao-Wei who do not have a Contribution assignment only, as the Command Staff needs new ideas to chew on and people to collect a wider spread of data in a variety of ways. Assignments will be given, but here you can also field your own ideas in the downtime, discussing them with the other Researchers and Command Staff in an ordered environment. Your pet projects, theories and strategems will be heard by the Command Staff and either rejected or will be tested for possible inclusion in doctrine. This job can be tough, and you’ll have to have thick skin and willingness to accept that everyone occasionally has bad ideas, that the data is sometimes faulty or skewed, and that we may have already had this discussion prior to your joining
