Sometimes when i jump in my lynx standing close to walls, big rocks, buildings, ledges and so on the mech gets stuck, climbs only a few metres in what feels like slow motion. When i hit the ground after that tiny failjump i get massive fall damage. Like as if i was flying as high as possible. wtf man.
It is annoying as hell when the round is ****** due to bugged jj mechanics.

Anyone noticed this? On any other mech?

Standing close to an obstruction or object while in MWO and using JumpJets while standing still will give your Mech some forward thrust while slowing elevating your Mech inch by bloody inch. Sometimes these surfaces you've pressed yourself up against while trying to use JJs to move over/around/whatnot are not flush or smooth and have an uneven surface.

My experience, and this is from Lights to Mediums to Heavies, is that you need to make sure you have; 1 enough JJs, 2 enough JJ fuel, 3 enough clearance to make it over/around/whatnot obstruction. Sometimes when you get this stuttering effect because you're on the verge of becoming stuck on map geometry, it magically lets you go and you suffer collision damage due to the "fall" you've just taken.

My word of advice... stop jump humping the map and avoid areas where you've encountered this in the past. Also... take a screenshot (Print Screen button) and file a support ticket to the Devs... but hit F9 before you take that screenshot... it grabs the coordinates of where you are on the map which makes it easier for the Devs to determine if it's a pilot/Mech error, or map error.

You wrong here buddy.... This scrap happens to the Commando and most recently for me in a Locust...
And we know how many JJs those mechs have. (0 JJs for the unaware)..
MWO movement code/netcode has always be sCRAPPY...

In the past we used to have much more problems eg.. getting stuck on slopes, two mechs getting fused together..
Fortunately it happens much less nowadays..

Now being the problem is their introduced fall damage when they had the scrappy problem...
The ones most badly affected by the max fall damage bug..... Fast non JJ lights... :(

I've noticed this in my Mist Lynx too. I can jump with full juice from 80 or so metres out and, in Viridian Bog at least, if I so much as clip the edge of any of those mesas I magically scoot another few metres up, and then land as though I'd just fallen off the side of it, and not just gently landed on it.

Easiest Fix? MAKE THE DAMNED JUMPJETS WORK PROPERLY FOR ANY MECH THAT HAS MAXED THEM OUT! CAPITOL LETTERS!!!!

Seriously though, If a Mech has gone for it's maximum allotment, it should be able to maneuver like in Lore. None of this BS Hoverjets business.

Yeah nothing is worse than getting stuck on a wall for 3 or 4 seconds and then falling only to lose every last bit of your leg armor. There needs to be a cap on fall damage.

Edit: Also the little "cape" on the Myst Lynx(I) is rear CT from the front. Which means any hard hitting ballistic or a gauss round will instagib you. Needs to be adjusted.
