Costs

I bought 2 Cicada X5's to be able to alternate drops and not have to wait as much. I didn't own a X5 prior to the sale.
I also bought a mechbay for one of the Cicadas, and accidentally bought a mc consumable, but not doing math on 315MC.
1500 MC x2 = 3000 MC

3000 MC - 14.85


Earned

40M CBills - Started the tournament at ~60M CBills, finished it at 100M CBills.
This was my main goal and number one reason for the tournament/event, to make up for CBills spent on the Clan sale.

The highest CBill bundle is 6.5M CBills for 4000MC. (6.5M/4000MC=1625)

So (40M/1625=24615MC) 25000MC pack goes for ~ $100.

So I earned a Benjamin. The event seems to pay out more for time played than any prizes.


For Comparison

Prizes won for top 5 = 1367MC

Mech Bay - 300 MC
Cicada Statue - 750 MC
1000 GXP - 40 MC
5x C-Bill Consumable Pack - Total=450,000 CBill
- 5 UAV @ 40,000 Cbill = 200,000 Cbill
- 5 Airstrike @ 40,000 CBill = 200,000 CBill
- 5 Cool Shot 6 @ 10,000 CBill = 50,000 Cbill

(450000 CBill/1625=277MC)

300+750+40+277=1367MC (1250 MC pack goes for $6.95)

Had I been working, it probably would have been more efficient to work overtime on Saturday, and go fishing for the weekend. Then spend that overtime money on mech stuff.

Like I said, I didn't own an x5 prior. I ran enough matches on Thursday to get the X5 Elited, the rest of the matches were Tournament.
I'm not a good mech pilot, but ran so many matches I'm bound to have ten games that were good, including my first 8 kill game. Yes, in an X5.

Honorable mention to psichih0lic for taking first place by a wide margin. You must be something else in that Cicada =P.

*Willing to admit my math may be wrong. Haven't run numbers for per match earnings.


So this is what you're looking at if you want to give full participation to a tournament. You can probably do it in less matches than me though.

Yeah. Probably a cool shot and uav or arty in most of the matches.

You ran 308 matches in 3 days? lol that's insane. I have a total of 78 match in my X5 with a 1.29 win 1.76 kill/death ratio and damage avg of 414.55. Monday i made it to 13 with 2 nights of play and as much as i love my X5, i stopped right there on monday. Im not touching it for quite sometimes lol.

I did have fun! And yes it was insane haha. I've really wanted to get a #1 since the first tournament, so i'll probably keep trying.

why did you think i did? i just was amazed and felt that c-bills earning is not a good reason for such an effort
