Hail All Mech Warriors!

The Monitors Unit is pleased to announce that the Golden Warrior Charity Fundraiser Event has Begun!

Over the next 365 days, the Golden Warrior Event will try to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. Over the course of this event we will be having prize giveaways and contests.

Their Mission is that...“[They] serve veterans and service members who [have] incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service."

If we all contribute $1 over the course of a year as a community, I believe we can raise a significant amount of funds that will truly impact our veteran's!

Rules

You must register an account with monitor.enjin.com and post the necessary screen-shots in the correct locations by July 1, 2016.

Any and all MWO pilots can participate in this event.

There are no entry fees.

PRIZES

Prize Information:
· There will be a two tiered system just like the Monitors "Battle of Tukayyid Event"

o One for Monitor Unit Pilots and one for everyone else who plays MWO.

Prizes:
· Listed below are the base prizes for the Golden Warrior Event.
· The Events Grand Prize is non tier specific and is considered and optional “bonus” challenge.
· There are no entry fees for this event.

§ Grand Prize - A Kahn Gold Collection of your choice or $500.00 USD

§ 1st Place per tier - $240.00 USD

§ 2nd Place per tier - $120.00 USD

§ 3rd Place per tier - $80.00 USD

Donation Incentives:
· This event is all about raising as much money as possible for the Wounded Warrior Project and as an added “bonus” there are incentives for doing so.
· The incentives listed below will go into effect immediately once the specified donation goal is reached.

Donation Goal Incentives

· If we raise $15,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016 all of the prizes total amounts will be doubled.

· If we raise over $25,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016 all of the prizes total amounts will be tripled.

· If we raise over $40,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016 all of the prizes total amounts will be quadrupled and I will give out 2 Kahn Gold Collections at random amongst the pool of registered participants.

· If we raise over $50,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016, I will mail personalized "Thank You" letters to every single participant who has registered for the event and give out an additional 4 Kahn Gold Collections at random amongst the pool of registered participants.

· If we raise over $55,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016, in addition to the incentives listed, I will additionally take 25 user requests and do what is requested.**

· If we raise over $75,000.00 USD before July 1^st, 2016, in addition to the incentives listed, I will additionally take the first 100 user requests and do what is requested.**

Event is in full swing and lets keep the donations coming in. But there is going to be a change to the scoring. The math will stay the same but the number of screen-shots is going to be lowered for practical reasons.

Anyone notice how the rewards and prizes that you can earn in CW are a little lackluster.

What do you think as a community would be reasonable things that should be rewarded for CW victories and earning points?

The Monitors Unit is hosting a CW charity event fundraiser, with the proceedes going to veterans.

Why are we doing this?

Simply, to give back to our veterans. We are a small altruistic community of online gamers looking to make an impact on our veteran's lives. As an online gaming community we have several members who have gallantly served and it is our distinct pleasure to be putting on this extremely meaningful fundraiser.

How long are we fundraising for?

From Jul 1, 2015 - July 1, 2016, the Golden Warrior Event intends to raise funds for all veterans with the proceeds being donated to a variety of charitable organizations with the Wounded Warrior Project as the primary beneficiary.

If everyone who has the good fortune to make it to this page donates a single $1, we can make a significant difference for all our veterans futures. This fundraiser has been designed to make sure that each cent of your donation is stretched to its ultimate maximum, making sure that as much of your donation as possible is being donated.

The Event Portion

The number of screen-shots required is now only 25 per chassis and 25 CW matches needed to qualify. This is a massive reduction but it falls in line with current MWO tournament kinds of games and it isn't unreasonable to expect people to post 125 screen-shots over the course of a year.

Oh that is becuase I keep changing the title to pimp the thread in the CW forums. I will post the information here soon.

I need to remake the threads and clean them out a bit. Lots of trial and error here. lol

This event is still continuing and we are still accepting donations. However, we have taken a step back to allow ourselves to really set up promotional avenues, have a fully flushed out schedule, etc... and we are going to have a relaunch in the coming months. Please feel free to post screen-shots to the forums and a formal start and end date will be announced in the future.
