I see a lot of the clans and company's proclaiming they were/are the best, they won the most tournaments etc.

BWC, AOD, KaoS etc.

I invite all Clans, Houses or Groups to post official tournament wins here in this thread.

Your comparing apples to oranges here.

Everyone was in different leagues back then and it all depended on your style of play and what league you were involved with. They all played by different rules and had limitations imposed upon them by their leagues.

But as an aside I always thought that the Purple Monkey Dishwashers were a great clan/unit to play against!

No I'm not. Some of these groups over lapped and main request was for them to post their victories.
I've been playing since MechWarrior 2 and have seen most groups in one form or another for many years.
I just can't remember who won what. By reading many of these groups websites they lay claim to being a force in the community so I'd just like some stats from them. I also think it would be something that many of us would be interested in and may help in their recruitment process as a by product.

That is the point of MWO; to settle old debates. Also, not truly a good enough question to fit the current circumstances. Many old units who, at one time or another, rocked the charts are simply no more. The upside is, after failing to get games, migrations occurred. Mergers and totally new formations have rendered your question as asked moot. I can say that the KaoS Legion roster at the moment is formidable. I can also say that several others are becoming equally dangerous as the ever falling chips of talent land where they may. Regardless of the dream teams that coalesce it will take more than talent to hold together. So, find friends to play with... talent can come naturally in time much faster than maturity. Unless your job is official score keeper for MWO, I don't see any answer you could find as having much value beyond sentiment or creating resentment.

"new formations have rendered your question as asked moot"

Really? Both AOD and BWC have been active in the last 10 years.

"I don't see any answer you could find as having much value beyond sentiment or creating resentment"

LOL, are you serious? Do you think by asking groups to post their winnings I'm trying to create resentment?
If so you are sadly mistaken.
The request was simple...if groups don't want to that's fine. No big deal. But for you to tell me "it's not a good enough question" or that I'm trying to create resentment is total bull pucky.

Why don't you hit the road Troll and take your cute little Founders tag with you.

Flame war on, t00lb0x. AoD? BWC? The landfill regiments for whom no barrel bottom scraped was ever too deep? Tell me of the vast(shallow) talent pool of less than 100 players drawn into a dead league for a dead game do constitute anything more substantial than a garbage collection? Laughable indeed. One or two players at best in those teams perhaps rise to the top but not as a matter of paragon level of skill but by principle of volume and density. You insult your own intelligence with those attempted comparisons.

I sought to spare those like yourself the obvious and painful epiphany of an endeavor like this, but have none of it you will. If you want to sate your ego, prance off to the "best ever" thread and acquaint yourself with a cavalcade of names you will soon dread seeing on the same team. You'll see what I mean come Aug 7th, oh wait, YOU won't until much much later. I'm not here to crown any one group king, nor to deny anyone that very right if they have fulfilled it. I am here to say that if you want to pick a fight, you've found a fine one. But you are not tall enough to ride this ride yet... junior.

I can speak for TW (Clan Thunder Wolf) since we were kind of an unofficial boot camp. I recruited well over 150 people and trained maybe half to elitism. A quarter of that to officers and maybe 10 or 15 individuals broke off and created their own successful units. At the height of MW3 and MW4 we had a solid average of 80 members. We did okay in MechReg (MechWarrior Registry) but we weren't known as one of the top units.

I can't post figures because sadly, I don't have screenshots of anything anymore. But if anyone remembers the old MW4 Zone rooms, we filled over 5 rooms solid with TW members one weekend. A definite record for our unit.

Oh look... e-peen waving contest.

Seriously who cares about former "exploits" when this game has a completly different setup then mechwarrior 3 and 4?

Play MWO and raise to the top.. then you can brag... this is the same as some washed up has been actor sitting around all day long and patting his own shoulder for movies he was in 10 years ago.

"If you want to sate your ego"

I'm not sure how I'm going to sate my ego when I'm asking groups for tourney results.
I seriously think you need professional help.

"come Aug 7th, oh wait, YOU won't until much much later"

No problem I'm a patient man.

"I am here to say that if you want to pick a fight, you've found a fine one"

How in the heck am I trying to pick a fight when I'm asking Groups to post their winnings?

The drivel you have come up with in your posts is a product of your imagination.

"But you are not tall enough to ride this ride yet... junior"

What people did 10 years ago doesnt really matter. What matters is "what have they done lately?"
The answer is pretty much a big nothin. Finding proof of matches or league stats that happened
back then is near impossible.

There has only been one big official tournament to see who was best. It was sponsored by Microsoft and it took place in 1999 using MechWarrior 3. It was won by Buzz_Litebeer who still hangs out at Mektek. He won a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The finals were on the MS Redmond campus in the BattleTech pods reprogrammed with the MechWarrior 3 game.

There ya go, take those results and run with them: YOUR answer is Buzz-Litebeer.

You wanted to know the best? Clarify. 3rd person or FFP? Team attrition or team battle? MW2,MW3,MW4, or some other format of PVP. in another mech game? You want to know cycle results? Which league? Now, you've shown you can hurl unqualified insults and ad hominum fallacies around quite well. Now, in my book, that qualifies yourself as a troll. I've tried to show you nicely that the scope of your question is about as comfortable to answer as "Daddy, where to babies come from" and about as out of context as correctly answering it to a 4 year old. You refuse to see it, fine. You want some definative answer to a non empirical question. Logically, that cannot be done, the question is flawed. It is either that, or you are just too lazy to search out cycle results for the various extinct leagues. Well, their data is going to be proprietary and good luck finding it. As a matter of fact, do just that. Why don't you go trawl the intarwebz and compile for us a complete report. I'm sure that patient diligence which is your source of pride will yield results which couldn't possibly start a long chain of locked threads. After all, it is your question, not mine. Man the hell up and take responsibility for the answer instead of community outsourcing. You are now on a quest to prove you are not just trolling. I await extremely predictable results, but I'd be glad for a pleasant surprise. Good luck!

If they want to post they can, if not, no big deal. OK? No big deal. Say with me Troll, "No big deal"

Good Troll, now run along.

I'm surprised a forum moderator hasn't shut this guy down.
