Hey All,

Just reporting something odd here:

The most recent NVIDIA drivers (GTX900 series drivers at least) seem to screw with the game's scaling. Rolling back to the second most recent driver was the only thing I could do.

I'm not sure whether this is caused by NVIDIA or the new MWO build but nonetheless, had this problem.

Basically, when selecting my native resolution of 1080p, the game would either run in 720p fullscreen, or in a small window center of the screen. When fullscreened, the mouse would only move within a box in the middle of the screen, rendering anything outside this invisible box inaccessible.

On Windows 8.1**

Using the same driver, but in an older Alien Ware machine where the GTX770 was the top dog at the time. However, no issues here.

EDIT: Win 7 Professional, 64-bit, SP-1

It would help to mention what version of Windows you are using... for context.

Updated post, 8.1

Update today: MWO worked fine last night, but after MWO crashed while selecting a mech, I'm back to the same problem, even though I've rolled back my drivers.

Screenshot is below. Is MWO stuck in some kind of debug mode or something?

Another thought on Win 8.1 ...

I was born and raised in the Seattle area, currently retired after 30+ years as a software engineer. Been following Microsoft since it had less that 20 people in a small office on Lake Washington Blvd. This was years before Bill ripped of what was to become MS-DOS from an engineer at Seattle Computer Products after telling IBM that MS had an 8086 operating system, which was a complete lie. He gave the poor fool $50,000 and got complete ownership and exclusive rights to everything (remember, Bill's dad was a prominent Seattle attorney and did the contract work). But I digress... one thing that has never changed at MS was the mantra to get the product out the door to get the money coming in. Screw the customer, let them do the final stage of product debugging.

Lesson of said story: NEVER, EVER, buy or install any initial release of any MS product. Wait until at least the first SP.

I'm unsure of how to help you fix it.. the only thing that comes to mind is to make sure the NVidia profile is set to "Max Performance" for the Power Management mode to make sure the game remains stable and doesn't crash (the adaptive profile seems to cause the driver to crash/hang for me, and it seems that this trick seems to stop it from doing this).

I'm personally using Windowed mode though, Win 7 64-bit with the latest drivers (355.60).
