[Champion of Khorne Lord of Blood]

So anyone else notice how prevalent LRMs are during this event? With all the people running Resistance mechs and others trying to get high damage there are far less ECM mechs around and many more LRM boats, I'm noticing most of my matches only have one ECM mech and there are at least a lance's worth of LRMs raining per game, and not just the small time stuff. I'm talking LRM80 warhawks, x6LRM5 Maddog shake spam, LRM boat stalkers, and rapid fire LRM10 machine gun hunchbacks, even trebuchets. I'm finding it nearly impossible to take a slow assault mech on some maps, Caustic Valley for example I somehow get locked onto before I even make it half way to the center, at which point hundreds of LRMs rain on me from at least 5 different mechs leaving me either dead or ripped open in a little under 5 seconds. I'll honestly be happy when the event is over, I get my millions, and I can survive without a squad of x3 AMS Kit Foxes around me.

Played a dozen matches in Group last night.
Saw some LRM activity. Nothing too crazy and I run Radar Dep as standard equipment so, it's not so bad for me.

I might go to my ECM rigs this weekend to shore up that deficiency.

I've been mainly pugging, and don't have that module... its scary out there.

It sounds like you had one match with a lurm boat then threw on your tinfoil hat and started seeing them everywhere.

It's a nice module to have.

Actually its been going on since yesterday. At first I thought I was just tired and my game was off, but then I realized the game had changed, something was different, LRMs were raining hard and no one had their umbrellas... also grasshoppers everywhere.

LRM usage is very scarce so far i can say from ~20 Matches in the Event...

I'm noticing the exact oposite, almost no LRM boats at all. I'm often trying to run a scout role getting into position to target enemies, but most of the time my team has no or very little of LRMs...

I wish, all I see is 75 alpha laser spam with a mix of gauss for taste.

Would you rather see PPCs and AC5s? I can oblige... I just thought everyone hated that so much so using lasers was nice and easy to spread.

If I'm trying to bang out the required scores to finish out my event matches and my time is so limited that I can't afford to miss games, I usually run LRMs because it's virtually guaranteed I can get the x points every time with little effort. Maybe I'm not the only one that does this.

Seems about right, I took out my Hunchback 4J for a match to see how it would do, our team lost, I got second highest damage, and made over 150 points. The thing still has standard internals and single heatsinks, no artemis, and only has basic skills. Didn't take me doing much of anything, even shot up some lights that ran at us with the medium lasers until their deathball came up and wiped up the last of us survivors.

For me? Any day, 30alpha maybe 35with ppc+ac5 over pulsed quirked monsters we have now. Atleast with the ppc ac5 you get some sound effects . With 1 hit pulse you just see your mech fly apart ha-ha.

If by Lrmpocalypse you mean people are actually using LRMs, then yeah. I saw a Catapult and Trebuchet running LRMs in the last match I did.

its not bad,seen 2-3 lrm boats the whole event,there is ecm literally in every third mech nowadays.

Caustic and alpine without radar derp in an assault is just plain unfair. Lrm boats just get to **** on you with almost no counters on those 2 specific maps.
