So I noticed Saban has it so you can buy every series of theirs including super sentai in origonal japanese.

However for years I've looked for the battletech series Dvd set. I've never found it. I'd like to add to my obscure animation collection (I have the roughnecks:Starship troopers animated series box set).

Anyone have any luck finding valid retailers? OR know of a reason as to why I'd never find it?

Well, an online store called "Second Variety DVD" seems to be selling the DVD set. However, I'm not sure how valid/trusted this particular retailer is.

Anyway, here's a direct link to the DVD set on their site if you're interested:

You know, I've looked and never found anywhere I really trusted to get it.

However, several episodes are up on Youtube. =P lol

Legal purchase, nope.
There was never a market DVD of the show out there, at best you'll get youtube vids burned to DVD.

anyone know of good quality videos on the web then? Most of what I can found looks like a near ruined VHS convert.

I've got some VHS quality of Episodes 1-13(I think), which aren't bad... but not great.

Youtube has several up, but the quality is beyond questionable.

I have "TV Quality" (basically VHS quality) avi's of the entire series. I don't think there ever was a better quality release than that. As far as I know, they are not being sold and are available as downloads somewhere. Can't remember where I got mine from.

Is there any way you could compress (RAR or ZIP), upload somewhere, and share with us? I'm too young to have watched it on TV (I assume it was on TV...) and having tried to watch the youtube ones, I can't see much of whats going on and I can't understand half the sound either...

It is on YouTube. Here is the first Episode. If you click the little YouTube symbol on the bottom right of the video, it will take you to the actual page the video is located on YouTUbe. You can find the other episodes in the list to the right when you are on YouTube.

Actually, the quality of the youtube videos is the same as what I have. That is what originally aired on TV... tells you a bit about how far TV has come in the last decade ;)
