I guess it's a way of fixing things, but the truth is most of us didn't mind the higher match score requirements.

It was THE RNG NATURE OF THE CHALLENGE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM.


Thanks for pulling your foot out of my rear end with this challenge PGI. I guess.

Is it just me or do i feel like PGI trolled me. I log in today and I went from less than half done to %95....

Thank you, PGI! I have hunted that 400 score on all maps, only to find out now, that it was effectively wasted effort on my side ...

Nope doesn't change the nature of the challenge (for example in the 40+ games of CW i played I have had 0 Hellbore Springs). But definitely helps it out a bit

Finally, I can stop farming the 400 for Tourmy.

But seriously, PGI, if you're reading this, NO MORE RNG EVENTS PLEASE.

And if you think the disconnection counter would have prevented this, you're WRONG. Players would have just "Yoloed" out of bounds or straight into the enemy blob.

While I appreciate their attempt to rectify the problem, this really doesn't address the issue.

The problem is the random aspect of map selection, not the match score goal. We don't really mind a challenge being challenging, as long as it is our skill that determines success/failure.

Not being able to get the last map needed because the random map generator hates you isn't solved by lowering the match score to 200. I still haven't seen Mining Colony since Thursday.

I just finished my matches at 400+. It is nice of them to reduce the score for everyone though.

This, times 100. The person who thought "Hey...lets make the maps random too" should be publicly flogged.

Neat, now I have both tiers done.

Getting that last Caustic sure was a PITA yesterday but I managed to get lucky.

Yay for Cbills, MC, and a bunch of crap I'll never use (cockpit items).

While a lot of us agrees that it's fine to work for a good score but not to be at the mercy or RNG. Im sure there's lots of people that are happy that t1 got lowered to 200 and im happy t2 got lowered to 300 so not it;s all done =). I missed 4 in t2 and trust me when i say i was NOT going to try and get them. Now it's all done, will play for fun tonight instead of skipping.

yeah they did it. which is nice of them. Still, this should have been handled better from the start. But thanks PGI for at least hearing and responding. What I hope, however, is that the take away doesn't amount to the "damage thresholds were too high" because the numbers were fine. What the take away should be is "The map rotation needs to be different, with much less weight given to FC and RC"

i admit ive never seen a game community this angry nor have i ever seen a game developer this hard headed. together they create a rather destructive feedback loop which can only end in total ruin.
