It's cockpit is located at its upper chest level making the section more likely than not to catch the incoming fire, while being small enough not to get hit frequently. Although it is downright deadly at times when a dual Gauss Krab/Whale manage to score a hit, most of the time it extends your CT's survivability. Sure, a following arty/air strike will most likely to kill you, but face-tanking that AC20 round meant for your CT can actually extend your life on many occasion. Like this.

Or this.

Or even this.

The cockpit never fails to at least shield some laser fire from the enemy, allowing the CT to hang on during battle.

Helping you to spread damage over four sections instead of three.

Though headshot deaths are annoying, but they are few and far between, and I learned that I prefer some face tanking than no face taking at all. Unlike my CT magnet EBJs with pristine cockpits every match.

Any hidden quirks your mechs possess?
