Last night the RKA Reserves engaged in our first ever Community Warfare training patrol.

Several new trainees, escorted by a handful of hardened veterans, contacted recon missions on the planet Morningside.

Morningside is currently a Clan Wolf holding, the eventual capture of which remains on the FRR to do list.

FRR Intel suggested the presence of possibly either second line Wolf troops or perhaps trainees of some sort, currently garrisoned on the main continent... which looked promising as a venue for our first encounters.

Upon our arrival, an RKA senior officer engaged in a Batchal negotiation process with local commanders from the Front Line CWI Omega Galaxy. We then descended to the planet's surface where we engaged in a series of pitched battles with Omega Galaxy's Sibkin trainee forces.

These battles proved to be surprisingly well balanced, with several tactical maneuvers employed under a variety of drop commanders. It was noted that the Sibkin were shocked by the true power of our assault waves, just as our own forces were shocked by the extreme effectiveness of the Arctic Cheetah rushes. Ambush and other surprise tactics were employed by both sides - and the trainees of both forces were well served by this field experience.

No decisive outcome could be obtained by either force, so eventually a ceasefire was agreed upon, and RKA forces departed the planet, our trainees proud in the knowledge that they held their own.

RKA intends to continue with many such training expeditions in the coming weeks and months. Nothing compares so well to sharpen our skills and our axes as true combat vrs worthy opponents.

We exceeded our highest expectations for this initial patrol mission, and FRR congratulates the successful contribution of the many participants who made it all happen.

Well Done RKA, and carry on.
