Here it is:
Sometime, in the distant future, when the stars align, and CW, hitreg, and other issues are "fixed", the dev's can focus on making a whole new "behind the scenes" aspect of MWO..
Imagine that instead of landing in the homescreen when you boot the game client, you Enter a room called MechWarrior Command. You are a human (not a mech), you see your arms and legs, and can walk about in 1.st person much like in the mech switcher aspect of the Training Grounds. You walk about from room to room, and can enter rooms like Mech Bay, The Library, Trophy room, Training Academy, all while walking around the great big holo-display of the current (and evolving) map of the Innersphere. (CW-Factions room)
All around you are walking ACTUAL PEOPLE IN YOUR FACTION,(aka. other players) that you can interact with, chat, friend, and such. You can also talk to "staff" or interact with various displays to engage game functions. (If you are not in a faction, then other lone wolves or mercenary pilots)
So, basically, you have a LIVE LOBBY where you can interact with others in a FPS/RPG way, instead of clicking away at buttons.
You get a sense of the battletech universe, an immersive "realistic" experience, and when you go into the mechbay, and see the scale of your favorite beast of a machine, you feel warm and fuzzy inside..
Would that not be great?
To be able to interact and talk and have a realistic experience, and not just a cold, non-immersive single-player experience of a client?
