Greetings MechWarriors,

MWO services went down at 9AM PST this morning due to a cabling issue near our data center, but as of approximately 2 PM PST we are now in the process of getting services restored. The NA and OC game servers, along with the website and forums, are currently online but connections may be intermittent until we can confirm full stability. The EUR servers are currently offline.

We will keep this post updated as information becomes available. If you are unable to access the website at any point after reading this post, we will also be pushing updates to the @MechWarriorF2P Twitter account.

We will update everyone on the details concerning the extension of the Trick or Treat event once we are satisfied with the stability of services.

LATEST UPDATE:

All services have been restored, and the November 3rd patch downtime is currently underway. When we're back online from the patch all servers should be available and connections should be back to normal!

UPDATES:

We will be injecting 24 hours of Active Premium Time into all player accounts that had Premium Time running at the time of the server outage at ~9 AM PST this morning (5 PM UTC).

This 24 hours of Active PT won't activate until you log-in (once it has been injected).

This injection of 24 hours PT will only occur for players who had Active PT at the time of this morning's outage.

The injection is currently set to occur during tomorrow's patch downtime (10AM PST / 6PM UTC).

The Trick or Treat event has been extended 24 hours past its original end time. It will now end November 3rd at 10 AM PST (6PM UTC), just before we go down for patch maintenance.

i just would like to say as a new player to the game i wish to thank the team for the communication with the player base on issues that develope . like todays outage . getting twitter feed updates was great . thanks

Hey all,

We have a post covering today's server issues up here.

The short of it is that while services are gradually being restored, we are not 100% just yet. Connection may intermittent, and you may experience lag or stability issues in-game. We'll post an update regarding event extension once we're confident in server stability.

Curious: what is it about the outage at the data centre that has kept the EU servers completely offline?

Edit: assuming they are -- the client shows no ping for the EU servers, for me.
