So I have a lot of mechs, cockpit items, weapons, modules and so forth on my account.

Any time I redeem items from an event, try to save a loadout or even just log into the game it takes ages to "save changes" to my account.

I am a bit perplexed as I know its not my computer that has an issue as I have two computers both that are high end gaming rigs and have the issue on both.

I dont get why a couple hundred items would result in really slow saving times when games like WOW and whatnot have thousands of items per character at times and basically save and update instantly.

Taking 1-2 minutes to save a loadout just when trying to move modules is starting to drive me freaking mental.

Thanks

It just does. PGI have not optimized MWO's save function.

Also, doesn't WoW tell you to wait 20 seconds before you log off, each time?

You can alt+f4 in wow and anything youve done will be saved because everything is saved server side when it happens. For some reason MWO seems to check client side and verify it syncs with server... thing is its a couple hundred items it should take a few seconds not minutes.

WoW only does that if you are not in a "safe" zone and you can skip the wait with a click.

Even on a simple consumable change through the damned mech select screens within a private match, the saves take too damn long.

I suspect optimizations here could be done.

Another thing that should be fixed before we get more mech packs of regurgitated designs that provide the same gameplay and loadouts we already have

Everyone has this issue. It gets worse the more mechs you own. I own nearly 300. This is why I drink.

I'm almost thinking you don't need another MWO drinking game to end up being some sort of Irishman (or at least pretend it's St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc).

In a group it is really annoying. If I grab a module off my Jenner, I need to save the Jenner without the module, then put it onto the Stalker, then save the Stalker. Meanwhile everyone is waiting patiently for several minutes.*

* Actually they're probably yelling at me to hurry up and spamming the teamspeak poke button.

Saving is slow as balls, so I rarely modify my mechs

Since we have no technical help forum should I move this to suggestions maybe or? Im honestly fed up with this. This is one reason I barely play anymore because im tired of spending an hour to move around and set up 4-5 mechs

Yep, it doesn't matter how little I've actually altered my Mechs, hitting that Save button means I've got time to use the restroom, refill my cup, and fix a snack.

Rub one out, make 5 forum posts, cook a roast, watch a movie and rub one out again for good measure...

I've had mech loadout save crashes. It is the most common time for the game to crash for me.

I cant say Ive ever crashed but to move a module between two mechs it takes me 5-6 minutes typically.

Absolutely stupid.
