Good afternoon everyone.

As the title states, I'm having issues using my wireless Logitech Performance MX mouse while playing MWO. And for the record, let me state that these issues only arise playing this specific game. My mouse works perfectly while playing Warframe, XCOM, and every other game that I've tried in the last 4 years that I've had this mouse.

Said issues are:
  • Side buttons almost never work, requiring a minimum of 4-5 presses of the buttons to fire weapon groups bound to those mouse buttons
  • If I have low dpi of less than 1000, I can aim quite well but my torso twist speed with the best of mechs requires a good number of hard swipes either to the left or right to twist the torso
  • If my dpi is set to 2000 or more, then the reverse happens; can't aim worth a damn, but I only need 1 or 2 hard mouse swipes to torso twist
  • I have tried to find the sweet spot around 1500 dpi, but my aim is off somewhat and I can't torso twist very much
  • Everything above is made worse if I go into max zoom mode
I have screwed around with both the Logitech Configuration Settings as well as MWO's in game settings, including, but not limited to, Smoothness and Acceleration, and these settings make it even worse to play this game.

With my now broken Razor Imperator mouse, I could play this game quite well, however it wasn't very ergonomic to my hand unlike my Performance MX, and often I would cramp up using it.

Therefore, I ask the community one of two suggestions:

Either help with fixing my current mouse to be able to play MWO very well, or suggest a new mouse that is ergonomic like the MX, but responsive like the Imperator.

Personal mouse preferences include no more than 6 buttons, ergonomic like the MX, I enjoy wireless but I can live with wired, and works wonders in MWO as well as a lot of other games out there. My budget is up to $100.

Thank you for reading. :)

Hmmm I used to have a mx revolution, I dont think its the same mouse. But it was very similar. Curious what logitech software you use for it.

Do you use setpoint? Or Logitech gaming software?

Setpoint

I believe this may be the default software from the Logitech website.

I can say that I had also purchased a wireless Logitech G602 and had similar issues with movement. No issues with the side buttons. Wired Logitech works fine. I moved the receiver around and with the extension, placed the receiver close to the mouse pad but no cigars.

This sounds like a mouse/connection issue, not something MWO-related.

To fix the DPI issue, try lowering the in-game sensitivity as far as possible. There is really no reason to have it above 0.1. Then set your mouse (driver) sensitivity accordingly.. You need to do XML edits to go lower, but that would be against ToS. If it is still bad, you could experiment with mouse smoothing, but that may introduce other issues.

The side buttons work perfectly fine and are always responsive on the first press in every other game I own. It's only in MWO that they don't respond well.

I'll try your sensitivity settings your way and see if there any improvements. Thanks for the tip.

Feedback on for my wireless. Changing mouse surface has made the biggest change. Went from a Steelseries pad to a leather mouse pad.

On torso twisting, screen resolution plays hefty role as well as whether or not arm lock is active or not.

1920x900 windowed mode
In game, sensitivity 0.4, others at zero for now.
Desktop mouse settings set at 6th tick.
For the Logitech (edited), use 500/750/1000DPI
