Everytime someone change their initial vote, they lose a multiplier.
The way I see it, people should initially vote for their favorite combo but since the introduction of multiplier, people change their vote often, mostly at last second to get multiplier bonus.
With this solution, people will vote for the combo they really want and stick to it. You lose? Then your next vote will weight more until you finally win.

What about 1 vote.

What do you mean?

Doesn't really help if you are still forced to play modes you do not like.

Again, that's just more complexity when the easiest, fastest, and fairest solution is still random map and game mode selection.

It would be nice if each players profile listed all the map drop %.
Then the matchmaker adds up all the map drop %, and picks the least played maps as the choices.

There is no reason to be able to change your vote.

What was perfect , was what it was before, if you want a mode pick it, if you dont want a mode deselect it.
What is the problem with this, everyone is happy when they and the rest of the players are all playing what they like.
I dont want to make you play a mode you dont want to play , and I hope you feel the same way, why must PGI do this?
All its doing is making some quit , others play what they dont like , and the few who enjoy making others miserable or just want to ruin the game are the only winners.

I have found that people who try to game the votes at the last second more often than not wind up screwing themselves into selecting their least favorite map. I have seen so many Terra Therma and Forest Colonies lately.

That was my first idea also and Russ replied this. I don't think it will solve the problem as people will still change their vote but just before the lock happens (when 6 seconds is displayed).
People switching constantly to get more weight next time is the problem to solve for now.
Another solution would be to still permit change like it is now but lose all multipliers. This would kind of force people to vote only for which map and mode they want and let the timer reach 0. That way the weight system will serve them sooner or later.
