For some reason, when the voting system patch was introduced (two patches ago), the game started to freeze for half a second, then accelerate to compensate for the lag, and freeze again. It happens on all maps. It became very hard to aim.

I tried updating the video drivers to no avail. The freezes only happen in this game.
Graphical settings: maximum, no antialiasing.

Applications running on the background: Avira, Afterburner, Spybot, and Creative Volume Control.

I would suspect the HDD as the culprit, but there is enough RAM to compensate for that; and the game would stop freezing as I play on the same map. However, it does not.

Overheating? No. Everything is cool (62C at peaks).

Disc fragmentation? No. 8%.

Gear:
Windows 7 x64, i7-930@3.08GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX680 with the latest drivers.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

The problem is "DXGI_Device_Removed" that does not actually show up, and the game resumes playing, creating microfreezes.

As I am an NVidia user, I tried to install the 344.11 drivers. See if it helps you.
