Thread locking capability

I feel it would be useful if we could lock the threads we start just like how we can delete them.

That could be really usefull. When we have had our questions and curiousity satisfied we can lock it rather than delete it leaving the information for anyone with the same questions tumbling about their minds.

I can see value in thread creators being given limited moderator powers over the thread. They could be given the ability to lock thread, delete thread, and to minimize posts they want to potentially exclude while still giving readers the options to click and expand those posts. This way if ppl get off topic or start trolling you can just minimize those posts.

We can already delete our own threads, can you give me a reasonable reason we should not be able to lock them too?

Sorry for my baddd engrish, I was saying I wish I could lock other people's threads, hence a mods job.
