ok soo a while back russ had a post about a new cat.
this got me thinking that the a1 needs an updated chassis.so i put this idea together and put it down here for all to see.
take your standerd a1 put a tag in the head as a fixed hardpiont,add 2 energy slots in center torso,and give engine size up to 340 from 315.
call it the a1-3c catapult,
keeping the 2 energy in ct means that its not getting overpowered w/energy slots[nothing bigger then 1 large laser or 2 md/sm lasers]
yes a 340 engine means 90's kph speed,but at redused weapons load out tonage.
[faster you get it,the less weapons you get on it]
basicly a clan era update to the a1 cat.
and yes i am an a1 fanboy! hehhehe.

No adjustment is needed to the CPLT-A1. You just need to learn to use it better, and other players need to learn to help you more in order to help them. (There is NO "I" in "TEAM", after all!) BTW, before you dare try to rip on me, I've got one myself. I love the hardpoints it already has, and enjoy the little-known extra module slot it provides, which is a good tradeoff for lacking in hardpoint options! Posted Image

About the only thing I've ever wished for is an extra 5 tons with it, but I make do with what I've got. Posted Image

i to have been playing the a1 sence earlest beta days in fact if you was around fore the streakcat's 1st showing up on the battlefield that was my doing.
if an urbymech can go 90+kph why cant a cat do it?
urby was slowest mech in bt histery/lore too! lols
didnt think 2 nergy hps in ct was that big an issue tho.
all but the biggest clan asualts can keep up or run down an a1,or any other cat for that matter.
you used to get the cats up to 99.8 kph,
w/the speed tweak nerf it would be mid to low 90's now.
heck i can get a black knight going that fast,in bt lore black knight was no faster then the cats.
loss of both ears in an a1 is game over,if a tag and 2 med/sls is op jees im lost, starting to sound like a rant sorry m8. 8-O
the engine size limitation really hit the cats hard especialy the a1.
now with every one hiding to protect there psr, the cats ez pickins.
a1 more so as if the ears are gone your toothless.
besides its just a sugestion, i would be omg shocked if russ did put it ingame! lols
all i ever see is k2's and c2's on the field now a1's and c4's are all but extenct on the field these days. 8-[
