Ok here is the question and I know it would not be something that would probably even be considered within the first year of this game coming out.

If after a time they did remake Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries with these graphics how much would you be willing to pay and be honest.

I for one would probably fork out 50-70 bucks for it but only if it included the original sound track from that game . And allot more mechs you need fodder after all.

Ok folks please post or at least like the only way things get done is if you let them know you really really want it.

I would pay two pennies (one canadian) a broken stick of gum, some bent paperclips, a jellybean, and a ball of pocket lint.

what can I say, I'm broke.

It's been a while since I played that one but I think more than just the graphics would need to be updated. I remember being able to demolish every opponent with just a laser-boat Summoner. In this day and age they would need a team of exceptional AI coders or I can't imagine enjoying it outside of a target practice/tutorial mode. Once you get used to fighting human opponents via MW4, MW:LL, and eventually MWO you're going to laugh yourself silly when you go back to fighting bots.

Yeah they would have to update the AI a little bit I can't argue that. That's why it's called a remake though and not a re-release. I do find myself playing it sometimes obviously they would have to balance out the weapons. O wait they already did with MWO. ..... Sorry I kinda sound like a dusch with this quote on you didn't' really mean to though.

I've often thought that the should bundle the maps/missions from earlier mechwarrior games for a newer platform so you could play them through again.

Sounds like MacGyver's shopping list for when he builds an Atlas.

I would to but they haven't done anything in this game that could port over graphics wise. Any of the games where you pilot a mech in the cockpit could be remade much quicker because the groundwork is already done with the release of this game.

I did however find myself playing mechcommander a few weeks ago and now I am playing the 2nd at the moment ><.

For such a game with balanced multiplayer, good graphics and a good gameplay I would pay 120 $. Oh wait...

I think a mission bundle utilising all the only missions and intro's with the new graphics would be awesome and I would probably pay an additional $120 if it included all the previous games mw1-4

If they made a singleplayer mission pack, with coop included for all the missions from every game I'd pay anything from retail of £40 upwards. If it was just one game they remade, but included coop then between 5-20GBP.

Yep I agree I would be willing to fork out more money if they included them all. Your price for ALL the games though sounds a little low for them to be able to pull off though. That is allot of missions, maps, mechs, videos, ect.

For a pure graphical update? Nothing. The game would need a lot more tweaking in alot of fields.

Remake of MW2:Mercs missions and soundtrack with MWO Graphics and game mechanics? HECK YEAH I'D PAY FOR THAT !

~Edit start~
MW2: Gold (all the MW2 expansions) would be even better, followed by MW3.
MW4 Remake would be 'meh' but then I thought about it and I DEFINITELY Would pay for just a Remake of the Solaris Missions (and would pay extra if could play it Off-line LAN with Friends FFA (heck even if FFA was only option and No AI was in it I'd pay for Off-line Solaris maps with MWO Graphics and Mechanics)!!
~Edit end~

first thing would be to find out who owns the rights the the games? and how much they would cost?
if they are on with selling for ok price then could see it being worth it they would have a lot of stuff made for MWO that they could use main thing they are missing is an AI.

I would love to see MW2 (and expansions) remade with better graphics/physics. I loved the original missions they were so varied compared to the MW3 & MW4 games. I liked MW2:Mercs but I have to admit I liked the clan MW2 and MW2:GBL better for missions and soundtrack. MW2:Mercs wasn't bad by any means, I just preffered the other 2.

How much would I pay for a MW2 (all) reboot in MWO ....mmmm...probably $60 - $90 USD.

I had not even thought of game rights. I think it would be doable though. Hey Microsoft (assuming they own it) you can sit on this game which you have no intention of doing anything with at all, or you can let us remake it and we will give you 5% of the profit we make. If I owned the rights to that game it would be a no brainer to me.

Pft MW2. Give me an isometric reboot, true to the story, of Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception using a modern engine.... That's what I'd pay for!

It would need some tweaking yes such as the AI but the bases for that could be taken from MW4. Most of the other updates they would need are in the game they are currently making. It would be a project yes and not a short term one but with the foundation already laid I don't think it is close to impossible.
