Can anyone get MECHWARRIOR 2... IN 3DFX--WORKING IN Windows 10?
I tried following this thread
http://mwomercs.com/...ndows-7-64-bit/
But it failed on step 4.
4. Set Windows 95 compatibility on setup32.exe, run it and install the game.
I got my copy of the game in the following link.
http://www.myabandon...at-34i#download
and installed dosbox 0.74 at the following link.
http://www.dosbox.co...load.php?main=1
Tried to mount as per instructions from the myabandonware website but with no success.
Can anyone who can get it work with windows 10 show a list of instructions on how to do it via dosbox or with any other tools with 3dfx and all that.
Cheers in advance.

Anyone know how to get it working on Win 7? Been trying for ages. I have both the Pentium and Dos versions (don't have the Rage version though).

This program allows one to install many of the most popular versions of MechWarrior 2 ranging from MW2 DOS to Titanium.
It is highly recommended that everyone try this solution first because it will install and patch games to a working state.
The instructions are pretty straight forward.

- Download and Extract MechVM to a directory of your choosing.
- Put a version of MechWarrior 2 in your main CDROM drive.
- Open MechVM
- Go to Install+Import
- It should detect the version, so just click the button with the name of your version.
- After it is installed you can either run it through the Play button or go to the games folder in the mechvm folder and you can find the game installed.
Note: In Vista MechWarrior 2 DOS is installed into the DOSBOX sub-folder instead of the games folder.
It's work for me. I use Win7 64 Ultimate. If you use 3DFX edition - just install nglide. I will work too, I check it.
For DOS versions you need make image (ISO/CUE) from your disk, cause DOSbox don't recognise your actual physical CD/DVD/BD drive.

mw2 works in Windows 8 or 8.1 just fine through DOS box.
I didnt need to do any modifications to files or anything. I just downloaded MW2 (no install required download, it was already unzipped and everything). Then I followed the dos box instructions.
Instead of setting compatibility to an older version, set it to windows 10, or 8. (not related to video you see below)
Also, MyAbandonedWare is where I got my versions of the game.
