Another thing, what is the wattage of your power supply?
I ask because my 500W psu recently blew up and I replaced it with 750W.
MWO runs much better now, think that old psu was not putting out enough juice for the video card.
the 970 pulls close to 150W.
I would go with at least 650W.

Problem solved. Power settings were set to power saver mode (funny, I thought I'd addressed this already). Resetting to High performance fixed it up. 150 FPS, with dips as low as 90
