As it stands now i have no interest in continuing scouting for FP due to several factors. one is the fact that the IS mechs have so many toughness tweaks built in along with the shorter recycle time on is weapons make it difficult to match the is mechs in battle. Then there is the pro and semi pro teams who infest the drops at all hours of the day. part timers like me only get on from time to time. Thanks but no thanks PGI i will go to quick play or from time to time do a 12 man team as long as long tom is not in action.

When I am in a 55 ton mech with ASRM24, 2 Flamers and 3 SPL and STILL have to wonder if engaging a 45 ton mech... kinda sucks.

Doug's not wrong you know.
CW/FW is a mess, it has been since day 1 and it doesn't show any signs of getting better anytime soon.
One side or the other will always have some advantage over the other, due to some combination of the map, the players and their mechs.
With a bit more emphasis on the players and their mechs.
Whether it's Streakcrows hunting IS lights, or the plain ol' longer ranged Clan lasers, or the tankier IS mechs due to their quirks allowing them to get into brawling range.
If one side has the better the players and mechs, regardless of Clan or IS, that side will always win, and at that point the map comes into play. Which ever side ends up having to funnel through a path of the opposing sides choosing, the side that ends up in the funnel will invariably lose.

Did one of my 4 STD engine wolfhound groups nulify you groups clan advantages with double AMS and sheer "why. won't. it. die!" Toughness?
If so... sorry, teamwork is still OP.

IS mechs:
Short duration burns
Lower heat
Structure quirks
Clan mechs:
Longer burn times
Higher heat
MUCH less quirks
MWO combat favours:
Short duration FLD weapons and lower heat combined with a tougher mech than your opponent has.
Hmmm hang on a minute...

Meanwhile, Jade Falcon has 90%+ scouting on every planet. That isn't due to being spanked regularly. Anywhere.
