INTRO (you can skip)
We know that the crowd of MWO players is divided into multiple styles and believes.
But I can't loose the feeling there should two modes outside of QP that should handle both main interests: Competitive Ladder system and of course the BattleTech thing.
With the E-Sport stuff still missing (maybe after the tournament) you have to admit that FP should not be the "end game" for all players but to keep the epic spirit of BT.
Of course, there are multiple fan / player driven projects that provide a good experience for both types of players - but it would be nice if everything could also be provided in MWO - outside the lobby.
OK enough for the intro:
Concept:
The chassis for FP are locked. Similar to the trial mechs you can't modify any Mech. But you may load consumables or modules. Those Mechs don't have to be stock - as with trial mechs they could have an alternate loadout and of course, for each Mech there are multiple variants
You can increase the deep of this principle by locking the chassis to the faction.
You get CJF machines when dropping for CJF, Steiner Mechs when dropping for Steiner, MERC Mechs when beeing a MERC.
More depth:
Capturing a manufacturing center may grant you this Mech for your faction.
And now we can also add the LP ranks rather than for bonus. Some Mechs for your faction are not available until you go up in rank.
And finally, you can also create DropDeck Sets.
For example, the Steiner Starter Set ist the Standard True Lance is: Commando, Griffin, Thunderbolt, Zeus
Later sets can have a purpose (Recon Lance, Pursuit Lance, Assault Lance....)
As said just a fresh backed brainchild nothing more feel free to leave your opinion, you don't have to keep it nice just civilian
