Yesterday I posted a forum topic asking why the rescale was important or necessary - not even critical, just asking.

I checked back today and it seems to have been deleted.

I noticed a couple of players posted negative things about the rescale, but they weren't obscene or excessive, I don't think. Maybe some other people posted worse stuff later, but they could have just deleted those, right?

Do the forum moderators delete critical stuff sometimes? Or is this just a bug?

Not deleted but merged all said topics into one sticky thread in the General section. Not sure if all the threads have been merged yet, as there were many.
