voted, I play both pugs and grouped with unit.
This morning I played 10 scouting games all pug, I was only in one losing team, on the Lyran Commonwealth attack planet against clan Jade Falcon yet the bar has gone from 39% when I joined to 29%
This says to me the game is pretty balanced as I'm not close to being a top stream player, and that while there are some exceptional pilots in this faction the average standard of Steiner pilot is boarder line terrible.

Only playing minimally for particular (not all) event rewards. When I get them I'll be back to QP.

You do realize any "data" you get is worthless unless thousands of players vote in this thread, right?

i have to agree, i figure from the lack of unit players in the poll that most of them are too busy playing the game to play forum warrior.

Might be they do not care to respond to a post where Units are labeled as seal clubbers from the onset?
Might get more replies if he just went with;
Do you participate in the core mechanic and primary function of CW, Group/Unit play or not?
If no, do you only participate in FW when bribed?
What needs to change for you, the Pilot, to actually participate in the mission statement of CW, Group/Unit play?

With a unit, even if you simply drop alongside them, and you take the time to open your Teamspeak, VOIP, or other comms protocols, you prove yourself as a team player and asset, and you stand a better chance of winning.

what? they dont like that label? i would think they would love that kind of publicity. maybe they didnt play kingdom of loathing or something.
the original title i think called them farmers, but i thought that was offensive, so i called em seal clubbers instead.

they dont balance off of CW
most matches are not even decided by the techbase
Ya, it's mostly coordination. Apparently working together is OP. Who knew?
If people were more coordinated in the queues, you'd have a much better and different experience... but it's not even close most of the time when people "feel" like doing their own thing.

Wanna bet ?
Yes really. And the discussion was about fw and balance, where team n skill n starting locations means much more than techbase, but you decide to jump to the deep end of pool right away and change the area of discussion. How am I not surprised..
If you start comparing comp teams in comp enviroment we have to also take into account the maps, who gets to start on which side, mech tonnages and so forth.

I don't want to join a unit - that means obligations.
This is a game, so I should be able to play a game whenever I please - or play something else. Getting tied down to a unit just doesn't float my boat. If I'm gone from the game for three or six months or something, no unit is going to be down with that.
But at the same time, pugging in CW is a recipe for disaster and has only been successful at causing frustration. I really prefer not doing that at all.
So yes, I like hopping on to Teamspeak, Dropping with whatever groups that are there. If there are no groups there that need an extra man in teamspeak, I dip out and don't play CW - maybe not MWO at all.
