Ok, so I'm not new by any stretch of the imagination and have been playing since closed Beta. That being said, I've been on hiatus probably a good 12+ months and haven't played nor updated my launcher.

Question is:

-Should I keep using the launcher like always used to and let it update that way?

-I use Steam frequently. Should I completely delete ALL MWO files and folders from my system and download new client through Steam?

yes, do that

the steam patcher is much simpler than the regular patcher.

I do still use the old style patcher mostly because I do not like having steam running in the background if I do not need it.
