You must really not want to know what that person thinks.

Did they tell you what to do? Did they yell at you for not doing it?

Oh, they probably told you what you did wrong. Or, what was wrong with your build.

Did they swear when they did it? were they mean?

It wasn't me was it? Was it me?

It was probably me.

Sorta self-centered, no? Can't really see things from his side, huh?

I mute people all the time because as soon as the game starts they decide it's time to be as annoying and disruptive as possible. That, or they die and start yelling at the team and inevitably someone starts yelling back. Then they both get muted!

The ability to block such annoyances out in the UI is a basic and non-disruptive request. No need to jump onto the attack and assume OP is violently resisting people's attempts to violently inflict their unsolicited opinions on him.

Ye I'd second that. Some days you do need that chat mute.

If it was you Brody, the forum rules prevent me from telling anyone it was you. However if you listed things you actually do to people... then you're now the poster example of why the mute should apply to the text chat also. Oh I know...i'll look at my block list since I tend to block the ones I mute for those sorts of behaviour (which then auto-mutes them in future games). Awww schucks you're not on the list....yet,

I have a headset connected for comm only and its turned off so everyone's muted! Pug can get annoying with the same telling me to stick together, LRM locks, scout etc. The command wheel is just OK.

It's a team game.

Communicate to play as a team. Mute people who are using the coms for ,,, less than team related things. Deal with the people who are trying to communicate as a team, even if they are angry try-hards.

I don't see anything wrong with being able to mute/squelch chat or voip. I only disagree with a person's reason(s) for doing so. They don't want to learn, they think they're smart and right, even when they could learn because they're not right, so they mute the player who actually is teaching the right (opinion).

Remember these three things are true: There is a right opinion, and just because it is an opinion doesn't make the fact that it is correct arguable. There is a wrong opinion, and arguing that it is "your" opinion doesn't some how, magically, give it any authority or correctness. LRMs suck, don't use them, win more games.
