You want more People bring to Faction Play, asking what´s going wrong?

And then you do this:

An additional Invasion Drop Deck costs 1,200 MC.

Seriously Pgi ?

Drop Deck 1 and Drop Deck 2 are the only mechs that can be taken into CW. We wanted saved drop decks but at the same time being able to change mechs out on the fly. We can't do that anymore. CW was ****** before. Now its even worse. I'm glad i stopped spending money after kodiak. Im done.

INVASION

if in waiting time u could build your dropdecks yeah THAT would be great BUT

the only thing u can do is prepare your decks beforehand and then in queue with timer counting down u can change decks but not mechs in the deck :/
and waiting in queue to get enough players to get a match or with enough players to get a match but u are second in line and no enemys are there (timer counts up) => so without a timer counting down - u can do nothing anymore but chat no more prep your mechs for the planet choosen and the gamemode (attack/defend, hold territory) which needs different mechs than in hte dropdeck u are f..cked up

PLEASE
I wanna have dropdecks which i can change in the waittime because there is ALWAYS a mech depending on the map and the teammembers which i wanna change after knowing the map and the gamemode....

SCOUTING
thats ok with only one mech but not changing it seeing other mechs is still ridiculous

btw. After having scouted clicking on the choosen planet and click scout again u get into invasion queue without hitting the invasion tab before?!?!

I can only edit my drop decks while i am in the main menu.

I can not edit my drop decks while i am waiting for the enemy team to show nor when i am in the 60 secs match preparation time.

This is a tragedy for FP, i used to have fun switching around over 10 drop decks, now i am limited to only 2, and have to pay a riddicolous amount of MC for only 2 other slots, which are still too few.

This is a tragedy for FP.

I've been ranting about not having the ability to save dropdecks and switch to them on the fly, given sometimes we don't know what map it is until 1 minute before it starts. Well, be careful what you ask for.

We didn't want to lose the ability to customize the dropdeck while waiting extremely long times for a match. We just wanted a shortcut of selecting our 4 mechs quickly.

And wow, 1,200MC for additional slots to save 4 of our mechs in, for quick selection? That's dirty.

*To add, before other assumptions are made: It should not cost anything for a player to save four mechs in several groups or slots. Sure, I don't mind dishing out money for stuff in the game (well, not so much these days due to things getting butchered), but really? MC for save slots to have a premade dropdeck, which is only necessary due to the poor design of the matching process?

Ok, ok, You try to "best" the game with new features every patch....
I think You are not succesfully...
The last patch and the minimap was a mistake....
This patch and the new poor visible minimap is a mistake...
But.....locking the Dropdeck only to oblige people to buy new one at 1200MC is the best of mistake!
Personally I will leave the game if You will not bring back the possibility to change mech....
I love changing mech to adapt to every map, I BUY a lot of mech (Money or MC not cbills) to have the possibility to change mech to adapt to every map....
I will be able to obtai all the appreciation rewards cause I BUY a lot of things from You....
And I WILL LEAVE the game if You not bring back the possibility to change mech...
Do You wanna made a god compromise? Bring back the possibility to change it, lower the price to....300/400MC and scale up the max number of preset deck, I will say 10.....
I can assure that people like me...will buy 10 drop deck...and still will enjoy the possibility to change it during pre launch only to adapt even more...or simply because bored to play the same....
I hope You will made me able to continue play Your game-
Bye.

So Here is a work around it!

Once your locked in, go to the social panel. On the top there is a button to modify the drop deck.
Modify away!. Then come back in and re-select the deck you modified!

It's stupid, but it works!

Confirmed it works.

The whole patch seems once again made by people who never played this game and wants only force players to use real money to play.
Ubelievable! locked dropdeck in CW to force people to buy other dropdecks or play as noobs after years in this game because in this way are available only 8 locked mechs, non tactics anymore, good for noob, row players and gen-rushers.
Mini map once again wasted with unreadable sectors in maps with white background as polar or frozen or boreal...
This is a bud way guys, thinking too much to money and too little to gameplay leads to the end of a tittle.

Just like they patched out the ability to swap modules when selecting mechs for CW...

There are 24 map/mode/side combinations possible. Most maps play differently, and so are benefited from specialized load-outs. Playing on different sides of maps benefit from specialized load-outs. So even if game mode is a wash, that is still 12 different drop-decks.

we have...four, you can't change them, and you need to pay $9.60 (assumes MC bought in $100 installment) to do so.

And then there is...stuff. Other issues. For a while there were quite a few in my unit that had a drop deck configured that was less than optimal. They were fun to run, not particularly good, and at lest tried to give seals more of a chance than they did against what we could have brought. So, this new Drop Deck system pretty much scraps anything like: "We're up against X so get out of the joy-rides for seal-clubbing and into your A-game mechs, and Jimmy Bob, I need that Gauss-Hawk you pull out on special occasions to anchor an ambush first wave".

2 free drop decks, pay for more: Perfectly reasonable. We're just gaining two saved configurations here, allowing effectively three in total if you make one, then switch before a drop. That's awesome, and while buying more totally makes sense, you certainly don't have to. That's great.

Taking away the ability for players in the queue to modify their drop deck: That's flatly ******. I mean, for real; there's really no way to justify that short of "Teehee, we're just gonna shove our hands in your pockets now!" Taking away the ability to switch a mech or two that we've always had? That's low. Really, really low.

It's easy to justify the drop deck cost, hell, even if they only gave us one for free, I'd have been fine. But taking away the ability to edit them while waiting for a drop? No. Not cool.

O RLY PGI?
Everything else has been said by the others already. After the skills you have shown in messing up drop deck savings in earlier patches i did actually not expect it to work this time from the start but if this is actually a feature and not a bug...well, piss off!

I'm with most of the other longtime players here, I'm fine with only getting 2 slots free per game mode, that's fine, it's 2 more than what we had for each. but losing the ability to modify in queue for it? Nah, you can just fix it back. I get tired of dakka or lpl meta after awhile.

All we want is the ability to edit our dropdecks back. I'm sitting on 145 mechs and I typically like to change 1, maybe 2 of them out before a match depending on the map and what my team is doing. Trying to change 3 or 4 in the 60 second timer isn't feasible, so I'd still probably buy the additional dropdecks.

This non-editable version though... it just makes me not want to play FW at all. It was so close to being exactly what we as a community wanted, but instead serves to make the FW experience even worse.
