It's been a long time. In fact, so long that I don't think PGI are planning to put them on sale any more.

I think they've realised that Mech Packs are their primary income, and buying Mechs for CBills is the main competition to their main income.

So if they can't incent you to buy Mech Packs, they're going to ask you to contribute something (it works out at $1.50 or so) for Mech Bays.

Which doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me, to be honest.

They've had an event at least twice a month recently when you could get 75 MC or more for free. Just use it for a mech bay.

summed up 1200 MC on my free account now within some month, given you can earn some bays for free with FW and events, I doubt there'll be another sale of those. So even as F2P player you can get some bays...

last sale was about a year ago... But yea mech bays are cheap, and you can earn MC from events,, (something they did not do years ago like they do now when mech bay sales were more common, Nor could you earn any doing CW, cause well, no CW at that time.)


As the old saying goes.. Buy bays as needed, If there ever is a sale, buy a bunch. But don't put of getting a bay just to hope a sale hits.. that is silly talk.. colors on the other hand.. less of an issue

the only thing i use mc for is mech bays, and the mech bay sales r the only reason i buy mc.

No. Its been 7 months and 27 days. They hold the sale around the christmas/nye holidays. THAT"S IT. In fact, everytime someone starts a thread asking for a sale, or poses the question in an existing thread, PGI resetss the timer to when they were actually going to do one early to reward the patient players who didn't keep pestering them like entitled afluenza children.

Mechbay sales are not ony Christmas/New Year's events. If you check past announcements you will see a 50% sale last year during September as part of the 2015 anniversity weekend.

On a more serious note... If anyone wants mechbays so bad... there are a number of ways to get them for free.. multiple events and faction warfare.
In the mean time... everyone can ask for whatever sale they want. The final decision is with PGI... so why not?... I'll ask Russ over twitter.

IMO, Mech bays are the one Item that PGI got right and are priced fairly/. Everything else is just cracked priced out in this game. It is great when they have sales, I know I took advantage on the mech bay sale last year, but rarely do I feel like I need them to be on sale.

everyone with 100 games gets a free bay in october.

but pgi has been very liberal with mc in the last few events. i think ive saved over 1500mc in the bank. i never spend mc on things that arent on sale, and i never spend it all. a mech bay sale would be great, but i wouldn't get your hopes up.

Yeah, I'm gonna buy 12 mechbays at least, during the sale. My annual mech collection grows by 12-ish, discounting the duplicate/disliked variants I sell.

meh, the sale is nice but I've bought 3 this year with free MC and 3 or 4 without. Still have 2 or 3 open, I forget. Mech Bays are at a good price point anyway imo.

This.

The last two "Stockpile with MC" sales had Mech Bays, Supply Caches and Cache Keys on top of the usual MC amount for dollars. I took advantage of that, because I had some spare cash.

For 100 bucks I got 25.000 MC, 16 bays, 36 Caches and Keys ... and won a couple of Bays from the caches, plus some nifty things and more MC.

So yes, they do some sales with Mech Bays, but just not ONLY Mech Bays.

And yes, it can get quite expensive.

I'm saving some MC for that.
I need to break 240 mechs... 13 short now. need 10 more bays!


Also, has anyone noticed that PGI is not doing 50% discount sales on heroes? they are going by 35% always since early this year.
