Calling all available faction warfare mechwarriors! This post is to gauge the interest and viability if any, of starting and maintaining either a new smoke jag, or kurita loyalist unit. Based upon winning, not personal damage score numbers, while also capturing planets for the tag and for the faction. Looking for pilots who can drop with some regularity and enjoy generally fast paced aggressive playstyle while working as a team. I have loads of experience playing FW and dropcalling currently the #1 ranked loyalist pilot have screenshot if anyone has their doubts since I will disappear off the scoreboard in a few days due to faction change, so could get us off to a good start. Fighting against the clans has given me a unique insight into tactics and attack strategy which seem difficult to defend. Reply on this post or message me privately if you are at all interested or want to become an integral part of building a new team, along with which faction u would prefer.

Special thanks to The Free Rasalhague Republic loyalists and mercs alike who allowed me the pleasure to drop with and a lot of times call over these past few months, too many to list by name they all know who they are and it has been an honor to serve with you. 07

I know what kind of player you are so I would be glad to talk... Ironically, I just went loyalist FRR before the event (terrible timing. No clan mech reward for me) after behind a Merc with the FRR almost all of phase 3. I would be more interested in Kurita if you are looking to tag planets, as I have 2x gotten a tag by being a committed solo unit and have often thought what could be achieved with a few more pilots in a smaller, regularly active unit...with some talent to win, I have my reasons as to why Kurita might be more attractive in today's state of FW affairs, but am open to other options.

Best of luck with this Cav. I'm a bit sad to see you ended up resisting the Dark side and didn't join MS, but I had some really good times dropping both with and against you, so I wish you the very best luck and look forward to seeing the product of your work.

To anyone reading the thread and thinking about getting in on this, Heavy Cavalry is an excellent pilot and one of the most decent people I've dropped with in MWO. If you're looking to get in on the ground floor of a new unit and are looking to hook up with folks who are both skilled and enjoyable to drop with, give Cavalry's initiative a chance.

Unless you can gather more than 100 people, There is no hope!

I remember my unit in the early days... Enthusiasm... practices... strategy...100 members.
sigh!
but now... a grey list of offline grave yard is all that is left.

Faction Warfare is the problem!
Fix that, and people will return.

You dont need anywhere near 100 members, you just need a dedicated core of around 20 - 40 is a good number to cover multiple time zones. Good luck mate, the more organised units out there the more memorable fights we all have!

Agreed, when 2323 were more active we had around the 40 mark and were able to tag many planets.

Dropped with you on my main account, lately. You perfomed this daring griffin maneuver(on emerald), if i remember correctly.
This was really funny Posted Image

I will not leave the FRR (loyalist, -SO-), i like the dedication of the faction and the many decent people too drop with.

On my IIc account, i am no part of an organized unit.
If you are going clan, i would appreciate consideration.
I nearly play every day and have a mic.

(overall: tier 2 kdr 1.28 wlr 1.28 factionplay: kdr 1.35 wlr 2.10
Mastered mechs: Mist Lynx, Adder, JennerIIc, Viper, Ice Ferret, Shadow Cat, Nova, Stromcrow, Mad Dog, Summoner, Gargoyle, Warhawk
Elited mechs: Arctic Cheeta, HunchbackIIc
Next mechs on the list Kit Fox, Hellbringer, Executioner
Prefered weapons: cLBX-10,cSPL,cSRM4

Fine with all clan factions, but would prefer one with 2 IS factions nearby.
No experience with calling games so far, but would like to improve.

Best of luck Heavy' you are one of the best pilots I have played with and a very experienced DC, anyone joining you will have one hell of a strong leader and pilot to follow into battle.

Thanks for all the kind words and support fellahs I truly appreciate it, here is my follow up post. There seems to be enough interest which warrants giving this thing a chance. The unit is being set up in smoke jag and the only serious requirements is having a mic, and the willingness to put the team first. If you think you fit that mold and want to get in on this, dont be shy give me a hollar newbies and vets alike.

Best of luck new members and old friends

Best of luck Heavy. I'm about to wander the fastness in search of mech bays. Perhaps our paths will cross during that time.

Hey Heavy

I am interested in joining 07. I've been dropping with you guys for some time now and am having a great time (win or loose). I guess the main question is, do you (07) plan on switching any time soon to Inner Sphere? I am a loyal Clanner pilot, always. Does this create a problem?

Does the new future unit do anything different from what your current unit is doing all the time? Cause personally i think gen rushing is kinda boring. And everytime i met your unit you guys were going for the gens. Even against pug teams.
