(Disclaimer, the below is based on my understanding of the existing scoreboard)

5th place in the MWOWC AP qualifiers is a three horse race between AMRD, Tier 9 and 54th tsunami. AMRD are currently one less loss than the others, but If AMRD lose their game against Ebon keshik, it will result in a three way tie. Tier 9 still has OMC and ISRC to face, meaning they will almost certainly be out of the race after those games. Prove me wrong Tier 9!

What makes it interesting though is if ARMD lose their game against Ebon keshik. And then 54th tsunami beat DSA Rangers. Because then it will be a tie, and since 54th beat AMRD in their MWOWC game then 54th tsunami would take the 5th place. The race between an experienced comp team and a unit of talented casuals will likely be decided by how well Ebon Keshik and DSA performs.

Hype hype hype! I'm hoping the matches between 54th vs DSA Rangers and AMRD vs Ebon Keshik will be streamed.

Yep you've got it right based on my understanding also mate!

EK can take it as well if they win all remaining matches :)

It's literally going to come down to the last games for the teams to decide who clinches the 5th spot.

We haven't practiced at all, lol, so we'll see what we can pull off!

You mean you can't pay a mortgage with cbills??

I know what you mean, it's hard to justify giving up real world commitments to turn up for a game that has no bearing you your own standings, let alone a whole team of eight doing so.

What's worse is that there's a public holiday in WA next Monday, and daylight savings starts on the 2nd, so need to get matches done by then since it'll take the current 2 hour time difference between singapore and NSW/Vic to 3. : /

Let alone the havoc it'll wreak on kiwis trying to align playtimes with people on the west coast/singapore, since that'll make it 4.5 hours time difference between them.

6:30PM (+8) = 8:30PM +10 = 930PM +11 = 1130PM +13 ( does NZ have DS)

Does not seem that bad

Most drops in MRBC/ BFM was around 9PM AEST

3 Games will take less than 1 hour.

With the recent withdraw of ATTILAS HUNS the final position gets tighter...

5th - ARMD 13 / 5 with 1 game remaining
6th - Tier9 11 / 5 with 3 games remaining
7th - 54th Tsunami 12 / 6 with 1 game remaining

ARMD vs Ebon Keshik - If ARMD wins, they will clinch the final spot.

However...if ARMD losses to Ebon Keshik...
Tier 9 will need to win all their remaining matches since they lost their head to head with ARMD and 54th Tsunami.
54th needs to win their match and hope that Tier9 doesn't win out.

Attillas might be back in... There is a bit of a drama there apparently with the withdrawal know being know by some of the team members, who are still willing to play.

Even more drama!

Well they had better sort themselves out quick, as their team captain has posted the Attila's Huns have withdrawn in the official thread as per the tournament rules. Once they are recorded as withdrawn it will be an uphill battle to stay in the comp. I hope they come back, they only have four more games left and there should be completion rewards on offer.

Yes, we've seen that and had a match against them this weekend (but assumed it was off).

Then one of the active team players asked for a reschedule.

Hopefully it's not an act of sabotage or something nasty from the Captain (who looks to have started a new unit, I believe, a 2nd time now).

100% agree with you though.

Is there any official word on Attila's Huns? We have a match against them this weekend.

Attila's Huns will continue under the leadership of Sean Kerenskov. There are no player substitutions and only the team leadership has changed.

Thank you Paul for doing this for Attila's Huns. I know those guys wanted to finish the tournament under Sean so this is a great result.

For anyone watching the AP MWO comp scene, the 5th place slot is now down to two possible teams if I understand things right. Ebon Keshik beat AMRD last night, knocking them out of 5th place and out of the running for a regional finals chance.

(courtesy of Live1991).

If T9 beats ISRC and EK: 54th gets 5th place
if T9 beats ISRC and loses to EK: EK gets 5th place
if T9 loses to ISRC and beats EK: 54th gets 5th place
if T9 loses both matches: EK gets 5th place

If anyone wants to shoutcast any of the games above I'd watch them. Good luck 54 Tsunami and Ebon Keshik!

Yup, and ISRC can lose their match to T9 and still lay claim to 2nd seed due to the head-to-head tie ruling.

Basically the results for the T9 and ISRC match doesn't matter in the case of 5th place.

Just the T9 vs EK match.

Yeah it's pretty amazing it has come down to the last game to decide the spot.

Would REALLY be good if it could be cast :)

That said if we don't make 5th - The 54MR has had a really great time playing everyone.

We're just a casual bunch of dudes in a new unit and we really haven't practised at all due to real life etc. It's been great to see the Top Tier Oceanic (OMC/ISRC) units freely do a couple of scrims with us when we could. So huge shout out to those blokes.

We have a lot to learn in terms of play-style/tactics for competitive play but it has opened a new door I guess to MWO for us.

Loving it and looking forward to MRBC S8
