what is all this chatter about yellow and purple laser beams?

Please, please for nostalgia and coolness don't mess with the classic blue, green, red formula.

Also pulse lasers should be be the same color as their standard counterparts. Its the duration and "pulse" effect that lets you know what type of weapon it is.

Also if this a color blind issue it should be a toggle option for those who want the classic colors.

Why does it really matter? I'm sure they have a standard that they are going with if they don't stick with the classic scheme, but as long as they aren't tinted flashlights, I don't see a reason to fuss.

They are. What you are seeing is blue and green lasers compounding to create yellow. And red and blue compounding to created purple.
