I was wondering if we could add a forum section dedicated to talking PC components and accessories. Monitors, Joysticks, keyboards to cases CPU's, cooling and SSD's. A place for enthusiasts like me to talk and post our builds and help answer questions for people who have questions on hardware and setups. Dunno if anyone else would like to see something like this on the forums, I am getting ready to make a big post on my BattleTech dedicated build tomorrow but its just in the misc forum. Anyway if you would like to see this post here and if the mods have any though or comment that would be awesome aswell.

Edit: I added a pole please vote.

This would be helpful for me as well because I'm intending to build a system with this game in mind. For the most part I play Turn Based Strat games so it doesn't require nearly the computer power that something like this will.

Great idea. I'd love to share my technical knowledge with those in need.

Count me in, all the way.
But lets keep distinct areas for tech discussion & aid, and areas wherein devs might get a grossly wrong picture of
what the playing community has sitting below their desks power-wise...

Most boards I go to have a PC section and they're pretty active ... I say yeah ...

The forums I go to are evenly split and having and not having a computing/tech section, but every single time such a forum is included, it enhances the forums, creating a focused place for important (and fun!) discussions.

Yeah.
I am good with Tech, but i still need to ask questions on specific tasks.
Want this kind of forum here.
And we WILL want/need it, when the game goes live and people have technical Problems WITH THE GAME.

Also: lol at second option and it not being voted at all ^^

A forum isn't a forum unless it has a place where people can argue endlessly about which graphic card/chipset/whatever manufacturer is superior. I have also seen very few people with signatures listing their pointlessly expensive PC builds, and that just won't do.

Absoltuely, it'd be great to have a Tech/Hardware forum setup (with a sticky for the required and recommended system specs). We have a better idea now what MWO will need with the announcement of the game engine, it'd be nice to have a dedicated place for people to seek/give/debate advice on hardware, technology, and peripherals (have you seen some of the great threads about joysticks and multi-monitor cockpit setups?)

Seconded! Or is it Sixteen'd?

It would certainly help clean up the forums, as I see a post nearly every day of "will my computer be able to run this" or "I'm upgrading to play this" or "cryengine 3 bawwwww" or "CHECK OUT MY AWESOME JOYSTICK" so it would be better if those posts actually had a place to go. :)

I always use hand me down equipment. I will need to get what I need either cobbled together, or purchased once, then played without more expense. I may need to male it mobile. I have an older laptop with awsome screen(to me), any way to use it with conjunction with a mini tower in a fabricated container. I can make anything out i need of fiberglass, plastic, alloys etc. Thanks uncle danno
