I am certainly excited for this on assault mechs. Now, at least on some variants, assault mechs can have weapon systems to justify moving 48kph and having poor agility. Think about how Nascar might change if the light mech winning the race has to worry about finding a KGC that might just put 2xAC20 into a torso or perhaps a ANA-1E that can put 4xPPC on target.

4xERLL on any DWF might be fun too.

If Rocket Launchers count, the Wrath could theoretically use one for its 4 RL15s.

Also the Nova Prime and its dozen ERMLs. nvm, missed that on the first list somehow.

I am pretty much against all of these +HSL.
Ghost heat was introduced for a reason. That reason still exists. In some special cases I can see an argument for allowing +HSL on a mech that is otherwise “under performing” and unpopular. The Awsome is a good example of this. This has to be evaluated case by case with the default answer being “NO”.

Most of the 'Mechs on that list neither need nor deserve HSL quirks and some of them would even be balance-upsetting if they received the listed suggestion.

^With the above I have to agree with most of the mechs on the list. Obviously warhawk being arguably one of the best assaults right now doesn't need a ppc hsl quirk. Kingcrabs in theory would not need an ac20 hsl quirk as they have some really good builds right now, like 3ac2 3rac2, but it would make a fun alternative which isn't necessarily any better. Just a new way to play the mech.

HSL quirks should not be given automatically to mechs just so they can use their stock loadouts without ghost heat. Thats a dangerous precedent for obvious reasons.
