I have just got access to mech warrior online and i have not played a game yet out of fear of geting demolished, and as such would like to see a tutorial somewhere down the line.Obviously this will more than likely be implemented and was wondering what the rest of the community would like to see from said tutorial.

Edit.
I have played a few games and i have got to say the community is outstanding not once has anyone raged at me for being fraged too soon and making other such mistakes, the game itself is awesome and i cant wait till the full game is realeased.

Well, just play and get demolished! :-P

We all did and we're still learning. That said, I think we want to see a basic level, perhaps with some targets, starting with stationary targets and moving on to some moving vehicles and finally a mech or two. As you progress, cover the basics, like how to override heat shutdown, how to group weapons, etc. Allow an endless respawning series of enemies for players to keep practicing as long as they feel they need to before exiting the level (easy enough - something like walk here and wait a second or two to trigger another wave).

Agreed ;-). In the official launch (or soon afterwards), it would do well to have a tutorial/training mission to allow the player to get down the basics. This will decrease the frustration of new players from constantly getting destroyed while trying to figure out how to do just basic movements/fighting (and the last thing you want to do, is turn new players of from playing). One of the most common compliments given in game reviews is a game's introduction/tutorial "level" (mission, etc). I would also like to tweak to this idea and have the tutorial also include a walk through on how to customize a mech in the mech bay.

I think a few experienced players will post youtube videos for beginners to help them manage their battlemechs when it's out.

But at the moment its a perfect time for you to learn, as your statistics count for nothing at the mo as they will be wiped when the game is finished and your'll start a new with your skills well honed!
