The Steel Jaguar Gaming Team is currently recruiting for their EU Division. We're looking for competitively minded and active team players to help fill out our EU roster. Nationality is not important, but the ability to clearly understand and communicate in English is. The EU team currently practices two nights a week on Mondays and Wednesdays between 7pm GMT and 10pm GMT - ideally prospective applicants will be within the GMT +/-2 timezones or otherwise be able to freely attend these practice schedules.
ABOUT US - WHY BE A STEEL JAGUAR?
The Steel Jaguars are currently one of the most competitive and widely respected teams within mecha gaming, and MWO specifically, with a track record of excellence. We are a deliberately selective group who maintain a small but elite team dedicated towards becoming the best, most reknowned and most feared on the battlefield. Although we perform with distinction and maintain a reputation of quality, we also cherish a very friendly and welcoming attitude. We prize our community spirit and strong sense of team comraderie; a team that gets along, where mutual respect does not dissolve under stress or challenge and where team members are respected, not bullied by totalitarian leadership. We relish the challenge and we're all striving for the same goals.
Every member wears our tags proudly and is expected to behave with dignity and respect to other members of the MWO community; it is this which has allowed us to forge very close links to other teams leading to numerous skirmishes evenings which benefit all participants.
In short, to be a Steel Jaguar marks you as someone with skill, drive and ambition to be the best you can be with the humility and respect to an upstanding member of the mecha gaming community.
What Steel Jaguars are not!
Elitist jerks, self congratulating, arrogant - we earn the respect of other teams through skill, we don't demand it.
Flamers, trolls, harassers, sexists, bigots - we believe in respect to each other and respect to the community.
Clanners, roleplayers - We are primarily a competitive gaming team. Feel free to roleplay on your own time and we all appreciate good fan fiction and art but there will be no team organised RP activity, our focus is on winning matches.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are currently looking for potential recruits who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 18+
- Able to communicate clearly in English
- Willing to use Team Speak 3 and microphone
- Has a computer capable of running Mechwarrior Online
- Is able to play at least two nights a week (Mondays & Wednesdays 7pm-10pm GMT - flexibility for outside commitments obviously given consideration)
- Is preferably within the GMT +/-2 hours timezones
- Has a strong desire to be a member of a winning competitive gaming team with the goal of being the the best possible
- Has either a high skill level or at the very least a willingness and drive to learn to be part of a winning team
- Has a strong sense of teamwork, team spirit and a community minded attitude
