Full custom weapon load outs

Right so i have bin reading a lot of the old battletech novels and other things and have come to the conclusion that a full custom weapon load out would contradict the cannon since this wasn't implemented in the IS until after the clan invasion with the capture and reproduction of clan omnimech technology, I do hope that this is made available for the clans at first and later on for the new IS chassis that are made to counter the clans but thats up to devs i guess.
