Not a Joke, although not canon or a feature of the BT universe at all, I seriously think Having Ping displayed on your target information is just as important as range of target information. Why? Lag shooting MW3 Style.

Also just as snipers have scope lines to define where to shoot at range, how about some ping lines to determine where to shoot at ping?

If they only have NA servers then this would be very useful. I always check my ping before playing online as it can vary so much. At the moment my ping to European servers is 15, to West Coast NA its 120. My choice of what/how much I play certain games depends on how good my connection is. People can play with lag, it just depends on how badly it affects the game. This is something that PGI needs to consider. Fans of the franchise will be prepared to put up with a lot just to play a new MW game. To succeed they need to get new players against a lot of competition. Another niche game, with perhaps a larger fanbase, is Star Trek Online and how they have fared is a lesson to be learned.
Anything that makes lag shooting easier is to be recommended.

I think a ping-compensated lead indicator would turn me off a bit.

Now, I thought this was a thread of how to manually send out individual radar "pings" like a submariner would. Instead of leaving your radar active, you can go passive-radar and use periodic manual "pings" to probe for hostiles without running around continuously broadcasting on active-radar mode.

That'd be cool.

Agreed - especially for a scout. Presumably the "ping" would be narrow focussed ie only 10 degrees thus reducing the chance of you being spotted somewhat?

Yes lets give people lines to remove the aspect of having to learn how to lag shoot.
Are people obsessed with removing all bits of skill from games?

Im all for displaying pings above the target information, but lag shooting scope lines are a no.
