In case anyone missed this, bigger things should be thicker.
AC 20 shell thicker then ac 10 shell.
Large lasers thicker then small laser.
AC 20 shell thicker then ac 10 shell.
Large lasers thicker then small laser.

See i am hoping we see it like it is in Lore for weapons. You have have a AC20 that is one huge freaking shell or one that is a burst fire. Missile launches that are 5 launch tubes and can fire 20 lrms fast and then a LRM 20 launch with 20 tubes. etc etc

I have never been as confused, as when I enter one of your threads.
Are you referring to the actual size of the weapons?
A laser cannot be 'thicker' as it has no mass.
and after everyone's post I feel like we should add the line ...in bed.

Gotta Disagree there Mr. Man... AC10 is not a single type of weapon, nor a bore size, but a damage indicator. Some AC10's can fire off mulitple rounds. Some fire large bore rounds. sarna.net:
Caliber
Caliber is fluff for the size of the barrel that the shell or shells are fired from and no standard caliber has been set for any of the classes of Autocannon. Autocannon in a class vary by manufacturer and model. With the fluffed number of shells and caliber being specified, no Autocannon has been specified to be one shell fired for each "round" or burst of fire. Probable exceptions are the 185 mm ChemJet Gun Autocannon/20 mounted on the Demolisher combat vehicle and Monitor Surface vessel or the 203 mm Ultra Autocannon/20 on the Cauldron Born A BattleMech.
