Please search before posting.

What you are asking for are 3rd persona and have been asked for countless times.
Its not going to happen anytime soon, and is highly unlikely to happen.
It would make for an unfair advantage for those who use it over those who dont use it.

This game is first person only, and I sincerely hope they never add any such feature to the game.

And liking your own post is only counterproductive.

MechWarrior Online Previews: The Legend Returns

Hate to break it to you Dragon since you may not have seen it, but looks like 3rd person view might be a go... tho' as the article says...

I seen this posted before.

Where is the official statement that confirms this?

Unless I hear it directly from the devs in an official announcement, I see no reason to believe they have changed their view on it.


All I see are a 3rd party site that says something about the game, and claim that the devs have told them this.
For all I know this could be an attempt at trying to influence PGI to add it, or it could be a simple misunderstanding in a conversation between the two.


I can say this.
If they add 3rd person like in MW4 both myself and likely a large portion of the fan base will leave the game and never come back.
Many of those might even decide to get a refund if they can.


If it can be implemented in a way that dont give it an advantage I might be persuaded to accept it, but if its they add it like in MW4 then I'm out the door before you can say "refund".

They could have specific servers where only each mode is allowed individually. I prefer in cockpit view, 3rd person view is only for making pretty screenshots of the game.

I'm afraid you misunderstood how the game here works.
This game does not have a persistent world with separate servers like wow or GW2.
There is just a single server with separate matches.

There are so many games out there with 3rd person, so its honestly beyond my comprehension why the 3PV crowd absolutely must have it here as well and cant leave this game to those who want 1PV only.
