It's been a long time since I bumped the old thread, so instead of necro'ing, I thought I could just start a new one.

A long time ago in this game's history, news was announced that community warfare would become part of MechWarrior Online, opening an entirely new metagame for players to build their own stories out of. A few of us thought of the idea of starting a congolomerate of like-minded mercenary corporations. We thought this alliance could serve three purposes:

1. To provide a community of mature gamers for alliance member corporations to play with
2. To help each other in accomplishing strategic objectives in community warfare
3. To develop metagame strategies and cooperate in order to achieve each corporation's individual goals

We decided to create something that we call the Free Mercenary Alliance. Right now, the member corporations are the Carrion Crows, Dark Sabres, and Doom Riders. Many have expressed interest to join, and we are developing ties deeper into the current landscape of dominant mercenary corporations.

Right now, the alliance is serving the first objective we set out to accomplish; providing alliance corporations with a community of mature gamers to play with. We are mainly found on the public MWO TS3 channel, as well as our own channels.

We do have an alliance forum, but it is currently not heavily used (http://freemercs.org). Additionally, we have had other mercenary corporations express interest in joining, but are waiting until open beta begins or community warfare is launched, simply because they feel it is more right for their corporation. Major strategic planning will probably not occur until such events occur. Right now, it's all about the fun and beta testing =)

Well, now with open beta starting up and stats being permanent, it makes more sense than ever to have a group of good folks to always play with
