I have 8GB RAM so no way that's my problem.

Seems to happen mostly when on launching game.

This one usually occurs on my end while loading a map. The screen turns black and nothing happens. CTRL+ALT+DEL (because no other input works) reveals an error message. Curiously though, on my last run the error message popped up and I could ALT+TAB back into the game to finish the round (crashed predictably once the game was over).

My count so far: 6 games started, 4 crashes.

Below is the Omicron log

It happen after each of the play on me, like from a fresh boot the game loads fine, but starting the next round simply lead to that error.

Gentlemen, I have found a workaround (at least for me).
There's all sorts of memory optimizers out there, so I tried the one below and left all settings on default.
2 games in a row, no crash so far.

P.S. I've had similar experiences with Game Booster some time ago, but my system got wiped with the latest hardware upgrade. Might wanna give that one a try as well

P.P.S. Cursed luck, crashed in the 3rd game LOL
This time there were several memory error pop ups one after another ... incredible O.O

Lowering your graphics settings will correct the problem. I went from high settings to medium and have not had a problem.

Happy hunting

Alright, I'm desperate enough to try a clean install when I get the chance.
Looking at my error log however, it seems there are several typos in the code.

Hi,

I have this same error too.

CryEngine Error: *** Memory allocation for 11131848 bytes failed ****

This occurs every other times after map-loading/durin battle entering.

I am running with abit older PC, E4700, R4850 (latest AMD-drivers) and 4 gigs of RAM. The game suggested my video settings should be medium, and the fps is decent when I actually got into the game.

Here is the omnicron log:

After i reinstall it run´s without problems! Delet all Files in the install folder!

I Think ther is a write error by replacment files from game.

The error was by me when the clint loads the Home Site. Also after Login.

I had this problem and discovered it was due to running a 32bit OS. i had to switch to Windows 7 64bit and then problem went away. if none of the above suggested fixes work, i suggest you upgrade your OS to a 64 bit version.

I'm not gonna upgrade whole OS because of one game...They should have fixed this issues long before open beta..

Agreed. That's a coding issue, not a hardware or OS exclusive issue.

When I stopped using a hand edited attribute file I stopped getting this error. All my 'advanced' settings were 0 (zero), and now that they're set to 1 or above the game runs better and the issue is gone.

I may wipe and reinstall game just because it's open beta now.

Be warned. To install the game again took almost 4 hours! As stated there are 38 patches then another 16. This has to be fixed or no one will complete the installation. BTW my rig is: i7-920, 128GB SSD (2) in raid 0, GTX 285 (2) in SLI, 1066 12GB Ram. CPU runs at 99 - 102F during game.

I can only recommend making backups from your MWO install because there were several "Win7 64bit" people (including me) in the closed beta with problems (reinstalls, patcher, corrupt *.pak files).
Sometimes maybe after each crash the engine corrupts pak files and then the game crashes frequently.
You can simply recheck with a packer like 7zip the pak files and if you have CRC errors replace the broken files with your backup.

Cheers A.U.

Update:
Old MWO directory was terminated. Downloaded and reinstalled from scratch. First game -> crash.
A clean install does NOT help with this particular problem.
