Dylan heard the knocking on the door of his room, and leveled the pistol at the door. He was across from it on his bed.
"Come in,"
He heard the door handle turn, and the door opened. David poked his head around inside, and then noticed Dylan with the pistol. Dylan lowered it slowly.
"Getting a bit jumpy are we,"
"What do you have?"
"Well current sources from Hanse say that a woman by the name of Erin is running this dance card. She is in with Loki, which has many connections. She is to be considered an ally for now, but Hanse has no clue as to what they are planning. You probably need to be careful and watch all the other mechwarriors from now on, as they are now considered valuable assets to Hanse. Also take this,"
David handed Dylan what appeared to be a digital watch, but when Dylan turned it over, it revealed a button on the underside. Dylan strapped it to his wrist.
"This is your watch, you ever have any problems, press this button, and Davin will help you sort them out,"
Dylan understood the innuendo, it was a panic button, and Davin, the elemental, was the cavalry. Man that could have come in handy a couple of nights ago...
Dylan looked over the watch and set the time, he looked back up at David.
"Anything else I should know?"
"Try not to get yourself killed, we will be watching,"
Dylan nodded, and David left. Loki, the Lyran intelligence Agency... what did they want. Dylan laid back down in his bed, conscious of the pain that still wracked his body. It was going to be a long assignment.

Kaylee was excited about the prospect of starting a new job at Rainbow Stables. Exiting her cab, she stood before the three story cinderblocked building and tingled with antisipation. She looked over the exterior of the building where a crew of workers were taking advantage of the rare clear sunny day by working at painting a design over the front of the build. A huge rainbow with the words 'Rainbow Stables' scribed down in some form of Old English, there was also characters scribbled out in several other languages as well, exotic languages that she didn't know.

Old English, really?

Kaylee didn't care for their choice of font, but quickly forgot about it as she looked on over the two heavily armed guards wearing riot gear standing sentry on either side of the tinted double doors. Her cab sped off as she approached the uprooted mountains of men. She couldn't help but notice the guards tense at her aproach. Beefy white knuckled fist claspped their laser carbines in what would surely be bone straining grips. She was caught a bit off guard. She wasn't a threat, expecially to these two.

Nobody tell these guys that the 4th Succession War is over?

"HI! I'm Kaylee!" She beamed at the two in her sweetest voice. She was relieved when she saw them relax a bit. "My boss and I are moving in. Umm... I am still allowed in right?"

With out a word one of the sentries opened the door allowing her entrance into the lobby. She quickly took up the few things that she brought with her from her place at Serenity (eat your heart out AzMan) Glenn apartments and made way for the door before the two goons changed their mind.

She found herself in a gray room. The carpet was a dull slate gray, and the walls were painted a glossy battleship gray. Oaken furnishings decorated the lobby with the odd potted plant and synthetic leather chairs. And before her stood a massive cherry stained desk behind which an olive skinned woman bueaty with a riot of dark curls sat. She cast a beauty pagent winning smile at Kaylee who found herself more nevrous before this woman than the two grunts outside. (note to PCs the receptionist is a harmless 'regular' chick. She just knows a buttload of languages.) She wondered if the room was specificly build and decorated that way to intimidate visitors.

"Hello, you must be Kaylee... Please take a seat and I'll have someone show you to your quarters and give you a tour." The receptionist said as way of greeting.

"Oh, okay." Kaylee took a seat and waited. And as she stewed, she wondered if she was going to come to regret leaving the Mech Space to work for the Rainbow.

Hearing the Commando broadcast on its external speakers, Bertie sobered up. The pilot was right, people could be hurt up there, and here he was laughing.

He trudged the Enforcer up the hill, taking care not to step on anyone and wishing his ‘Mech had hands to do more. Near the top, he popped the cockpit hatch, threw out the rope ladder and slid down, the rope hissing in his gloved hands.

There looked to be two people injured, one with a glancing head wound and the other with a length of metal through one arm. Though the head wound was certainly bloody, the arm was probably the worst of the two, so Bertie headed that way first and started bandaging the man’s wound to slow the blood flow.

The p-comm buzzed angrily from Eugene’s jacket pocket. He looked up from his meal, met his wife’s eyes. She silently nodded. They knew not to call if it wasn’t important.

He stepped away and answered. “Eugene Johnston. What is it, Harry?”

“We got a HPG transmission about twenty minutes ago. One of our agents claims to have spotted Albert Walker on Solaris. I’ve had a look at the images, and it seems legit. Do we have a go order?”

“Yeah, go for it. Focus on reclaiming our property, and be careful not to make it a media circus. Solaris can be a noisy world.”

Seeing the chaos unfold, Frederick sighed, carefully walking up in his Clint, seeing what he could do. As he approached the scene, he noticed that things weren't looking as bad as they had from farther away. It seemed the injured were being taken care of, however there was still the downed urbanmech, with a commando standing nearby. "What happened here?" Asked Fredrick out of the external speakers, walking over to the urbanmech. Things looked largely to be getting somewhat in order, and he could spy some emergency vehicles approaching. "Well at least there's medical on the way..." Sighed Frederick over the com, looking around for any way he could really help.

DeMarkus was halfway out of his cockpit and on his way to help the Enforcer Pilot administer aid to any wounded journalist when the voice boomed on the Clint's external mics.

"What happened here?" The voice asked, lacking any concern and sounding really bored. It infuriated Markus. He then whirled about on One-Eye's shoulder and turned to reguard the Clint and shout out a few choice words about what happened here, but the voice cut him off.

"Well at least there's medical on the way..." The voice once again boomed and he (DeMarkus) turned to scan the horizion. Out in the distance, barely on the outskirts of town, VTOLs were flying their way. And a dark speck appeared aswell, probably some sort of ground based emergancy vehile. As he watched the shapes grew larger and more appeared. He squinted his eyes and was barely able to make out the looming forms of mechs heading their way as well. He shruged and climbed down the Commando and went to go help out anyway he could.

It wasn't long before the VTOL appeared circling overhead. And as he did his best to patch up the woman's head wound, the ambulances showed up and with them a lance worth of battlemech's all painted a powder blue.

The 32nd Lyran Guard had arrived.

What the frig are the Guard doing here? Jack edged the Taysider closer to the commando, carefully facing the new arrivals. Using the tight beam he prayed the commando pilot could still hear him, half out his cockpit as he was. "Hey, ye hearin' me? Listen, ah'm no a diplomatic man by nature, and I do not want to get in a scrap with the Guard. Do the talking?"
Getting in a fight wi' the Guard would make that tart look very bad indeed but ah'm no getting meself killed disgracin' her! Stay quiet, act embarassed. Keep the beast chained.
And keep yer head well down. Too many people in this sector could recognise Hans James von Bracken Steiner.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. The helicopter kicked up a huge cloud of dust as it finally touched down upon the stony earth. The cloud quickly disipated as the whine of the craft's engine wound down revealing the classic symbol of a red cross emblazed upon the chopper's side. DeMarkus looked up from where he was bandaging a jagged laceration on the reporter's forehead to reguard the VTOL as it's doors slid open and two EMTs in bright orange jumpsuits ran out to administer aid. Markus smiled and looked at the lady reporter he was helping.

"Okay's lady, keep your's hed back an a keep's pressure on's it. I'm's a gonna let da pro's do their job."

With that he took a step back and looked over the scene. The Urbanmech, had through much twisting and squirming managed to crawl over to dwell in One-Eye's shadow, where it now lay still. This intrigued D. Was the pilot trying to get the mech back to it's feet and the pilot just finally give up? He knew just how hard it was to get an Urbie back on it's feet from his own personal experience. He grimaced inwardly at the memory of the frustration he felt trying to do so with an angry instructer filling his ear with venomous screams.

The billowing cloud of dust from a hover ambulance just arriving drew his attention away from the other Rainbow Stables mech and snapped him out of his thoughts. As soon as the other emergency vehicle settled down upon the ground, hatches popped open and more orange clad personel darted about the scene checking on the shaken reporters. DeMarkus nodded approvingly as a curly red EMT looked over the head wound on the reporter that he was helping. He looked over the other vehilces just showing up then, a firetruck, an APC that was becoming all too familar to Markus and more journalist teams from the SBC (Solaris Broadcasting Communications? What does the C stand for? I'm drawing a blank.)

He scoffed as the newly arrived journalist exited their vans and began setting up to film. Then he turned his attention to the quartet of Lyran mechs just stomping up. With powdered blue paint unmarred, and virgin armor the mechs looked like they belonged more on a parade ground than out in the field. A Hermes II led the line up of a Firestarter, and a brace of Commandos. They stopped a fair distance of about one fifty meters from where all the gladitorial mechs were grouped up. With a hiss and pop, a husky voice of a woman spoke over the external speakers of the Hermes II.

"This is leftanant Evelyn Winters of the 32nd Lyran Guard. Which of you is the 'Hangman?'

As if on que, the reporters began filming.

"This is Allisa Andrews, and we're coming to you live from the Proving Grounds. Where just moments ago an Urbanmech belonging to the relativly new and unknown Rainbow Stables has stumbled through a Solaris Broadcasting Company's encampment. As far as we-"

Erin Stabbed at the mute button which silenced the reporter mid sentence and glared at the vidplayer with a withering look. She looked on as the petie Allisa Andrews' image disappeared to show the grainy video footage of the Urbanmech soaring through the sky on a plume of smoke of fire and then tripping up on the SBC's broadcasting van's microwave dish. The mech stumbled and fell like a drunkard crushing the van underneath it's thirtyfive ton bulk. She winced as the captions "Rainbow Stables, best F*****g warriors on Solaris!!!

Why that drunken pirate... He'll pay dearly for this....

She stopped contemplating unloading her auto-pistol on the vidplayer as the image switched back to live footage of Ms Andrew's reporting and in the background she saw a DeMarkus Frankfurt before armored hulk of the Urbanmech clad in a coolant vest and not wearing much else, having a conversation with some Lyran officers. The image then changed to show the Capellan and another mechwarrior bandaging the two wounded SBC personel. Her eyes became two saphire slits that gleamed with the light cast from the vidplayer.

Perhaps there is a silver lining...

Erin stabbed the activate button on her desk's intercom. The device buzzed and then she talked in the calmest voice she could muster.

"Cassandra, contact Randolph. Have him find out who that other mechwarrior is."

"Ma'am?" The intercom barely dimished the Wallachian's outragous accent.

"He'll know who I'm talking about. Oh and Cass, get a hold of my lawyer, ASAP."

"It's really easy really. You just have to bypass this switch here, reroute the power around this circurtboard here, and close that valve and it should be good as new. Well, better than new really." Kaylee remarked like she was enlightening the masses.

Kaylee was busy making friends with the other techs. She was currently showing some green techs how to rebuild the Anderson Propulsion 21 jumpjets commonly mounted on the Catapult. She squirmed out of the access hatch and taking a respectful distance away from the port jestured to the other techs.

"Go ahead, give it a try." She stood back and giggled as the two greenies stumbled over each other trying to the jet.

I might just like it here afterall...

She looked around the 'yard' at the other mechs and gave out a long whistle. She was in a technophile playground. Several mechs stood backed into their berths with scaffolding surrounding them like they were caged animals. Upon the scaffolding techs slaved away doing varous tasks. She couldn't help but notice that One-Eye was strangely absent.

What is taking Mar so long?

Movement caught her eye, a technician, running with a purpose. Almost like his life depended on it was heading her way.

"KAYLEE!!! KAYLEE!!!" the man ran up huffing and puffing.

"What?" Concern driping from her voice.

"It's your boss, the Cappie, he's on the vid. Come quick!"

"What?!?" Fearing the worse, Kaylee jumped off the scaffolding and began chasing after the darting tech.

Between police interviews and press interviews, it had been a while before Bertie was able to pry himself away from the proving grounds. He trudged the Enforcer back to its bay, noting that a Cicada and a ruined Stalker had taken up residence across the hall from him. A matched pair, spotter and artillery? Seemed likely, given the similar colour schemes. He powered down the ‘Mech and popped the hatch, yawning as he climbed down. The last few days had been nasty to his sleep patterns.

There was a man in a crisp black suit waiting for him at the bottom. Lawyer or banker? Didn’t lawyers normally come in twos, so that one could witness it if you assaulted them? Banker then.

“Herr Walker?”

Lyran. Definitely banker.

“Yeah?”

“My name is Randolf Von Bremen, and I represent Rainbow Stables. I have an offer for you that I think you’ll find interesting,” the man said.

Bertie seated himself on a coolant drum. “Go on.”

“As you may be aware, Rainbow Stables suffered some loss of face this afternoon in an incident at the proving grounds. For your efforts in rendering assistance, we’d like to present you with a check for 40 c-bills,” he pulled a bank slip from a manila folder and passed to Bertie, “This is comes in no way with any strings. Our proposal, however, is somewhat more lucrative. We’ve spent a little time doing some research on your background. You’re a family man, a responsible man. The sort of person Rainbow could do with in our stables right now.”

“Not the sort who destroy civilian property, you mean,” Bertie said.

“Exactly.”

“What’s to say I even want to be in your stables? If all your warriors are of that sort of calibre, I think I’d be better off on my own.”

“One of our many benefits is an excellent health care package, which would extend of course to your family. If you were to aid us, I’m sure we could backdate it to, say, the fifteenth. We also offer housing, both for our people and their equipment, as well as first class repair facilities.”

Bertie grunted and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Alright, sounds fair. Gimme the paperwork, I’ll look over it and have it back to you in the morning.”

Frederick had been able to make his way away from the practice field easily enough, after a rather boring police interview and some quick questions from the press, to which he responded kindly and told everything he knew about the situation, which frankly was not much, he moved his way on to the hanger eventually as the day wore on, where he parked his mech and made his way to the 'mech space to check on Alex's Clint.

Having made his way, he was checking to see if there was anything he might have missed. A couple hours passed, and he hadn't found anything else. Making his way up along the cat walk, he noticed a man in a black suit enter the building. Pondering to himself who that man could be, given that he knew no mechwarrior or tech who would wear such clothes, he made his way to an area above the man, hoping to perhaps overhear what his purpose here was.

“Herr Walker?” asked the man, and Frederick's ears perked, as he watched as Bertie walked up. Wondering to himself on the man, they continued their conventioneer. After a few minutes, he noticed as Bertie was seeming to wrap things up with the man. Making his way down, he walked up, laughing lightly in an amused manner.

"Joining a stable already Bertie?" asked Frederick, with a chuckle as he walked up.

Bertie looked up from the paperwork. “You heard that, then? I’m not really keen on it. Part of the attraction of coming to Solaris was that I wouldn’t have to fight bad fights for someone else’s agenda. But my little girl got hurt, and Rainbow are offering to take up her medical bills, if I join them and do some PR rescue after their incident today. Sorry for missing yesterday’s match, by the way.

“Can’t help but feel I’m signing a deal with the devil, though. That guy out on the grounds today is a loose cannon. The other guy’s ‘Mech is a stubbed toe away from falling apart. And with this PR c***, they’re going to want to dictate my behaviour on the field too.”

He rubbed his eyes, wishing for simpler days before the 4th Succession War. “Look, I know we barely know each other, but I’d feel a lot better going into this with someone vaguely competent and a halfway decent ‘Mech at my back. If I can talk ‘em into it, are you interested in joining too? We can probably drag Alex along as well, if he likes.”

"What happened? I was wondering why you were missing." said Fredrick, rather suprised. "And I understand, sure I can join. If nothing else, I can poke fun at that fool in that trashcan if he doesn't get kicked out of the stable first." Said Frederick. "Though I do hope they won't be trying to take my winnings too badly... In any case, even if I don't know you that well either, everyone first has to meet a friend and hang out with them before you get to know them." said frederick with a slight sigh, and a slight chuckle. And hopefully, being in a stable might mean that his crazy ex-girlfriend would have a harder time finding him when she caught a whiff of where he was, like she always had. He really hoped that she wouldn't come.

Melaine sneezed. She was a young noble from a small planet in the FWL, and hat met Frederick a few years before back while he was in training. They had flirted a bit, and soon she had fallen in love. But then, as he was called off world, she refused to let go of him, and after pulling a few strings, had managed to follow Frederick. Since then he had left from world to world, and she had followed. But soon, she would be reunited with him, as she laughed to herself in her bed, as a few days ago she had heard that Frederick had left on a dropship bound to Solaris. With the war over, that was the only place he could be.

So she laughed and thought of how splended their reunion would be.

She didn´t know how long she had worked , but after a few hours the last bolts were tightend and her Cicada was ready to be used again. She crawled out of the rear hatch to the ammo storage and climbed down to her Baggage-pile. It wasn´t until then, she realised, that she wasn´t alone anymore. There where people across the bay, talking in muffeled voices about things she dind´t care.

More important to her was the Stalker, awaiting Repairs. She was tired, but not yet ready for bed, so she decided to start working on the smaller problems of her big mech. She started with minor repair work for wich she had all material at hand. The thermal sensor lense had taken some damage and had a huge crack, she replaced it with a new one, quickly checking it´s functionality, a new comm-antenna was mounted, the old one snapped, as she passed a bridge, wich was a bit to small for her mech and she prepared the broken cockpit windows to be taken out . Still, there was a Sh*tload of work to be done. The left leg had to be changed, her right missile-pod too, half of the armorpates had been penetrated and thus were unusable and there where severe issues with powergrid-triage wich had to be fixed beside a lot of minor repair work.

One-Eye trodded into the mechspace showing none of the exhaustiation or frustration that DeMarkus felt. He felt drained. After discussing the afternoon's events with Leftanant Winters from 32nd Lyran guard, and having his brain picked by some weasly looking crime scene specialist, he was mercilessly badgered by the press. He thought back on the bright camera lights and the bombardment of questions and felt a wave of contempt for the so-called 'free press.'

Alteast he could say that he played it cool and kept a level head, despite how nasty the questions became. He hoped that his bosses would appreciate that. Last thing they needed after having one of their mechwarrior's goosestep his mech through a SBC encampment, was another strangle a reporter on a live broadcast.

He just wished that his stablemate would've come out of the Urbanmech to answer questions for himself.

That guy owes me one.

DeMarkus tried to think of something else as he strolled One-Eye back to it's berth, for the last time. One the morrow he was moving the Commando on over to it's new space at the Rainbow Stable's yard. Stopping at an intersection in the warehouse, he chanced to look over and see a dark haired woman slaving away alone on repairing a battered looking Stalker.

"Heh." he chuckled to himself. Then turning down the volume on his external speakers.

Well atleast I can do is give Rick some work....

Keying the com he spoked in as clear voice as he could.

"Hey yo girly. If ya's needs' help's you's can always go on over's to Rick's spot. It's in da back corner." He pointed One-Eye's good arm in the direction of the corner. "It's da spot wit da Archer wit 'scrapmaker' stenciled across da front of it. He's a damned good tech."

With that he began treking back off towards his own space. There were people there when he arrived. Officials from the Mechspace and one p***ed off Slater.

Oh, this can't be good.

She Darted around, as she heard someone yelling at her. It was a pretty dirty mech. She peeked around, looking where the mech pointed to. Although she didn´t like the company of other people, she felt the need to seek for help. Changing a Leg of a Stalker without help was a tough task.

So she climbed down and walked over to the corner, she was guided to. She spotted a lot of people there, mostly mechspace officials. Curious by nature, she walked closer and listened to what they talked about. She didn´t want to talk or get into trouble with the guard, so she left to the Archer bay.

" Someone around here ? " she asked shyly and peeked around for someone to ask.

Rick had been sitting on the foot of his Archer for almost half an hour, a beer in hand that he had been nursing in thought for the whole time. He looked up at the Frankenstein Creation that was his mech, today would be the last day she would sit in this mechbay, one way or the other. Taking a sip, he heard a familiar voice over through what sounded like an intercom. Looking up, he could see Ol' One-Eye making it's way into the bay. He had to tell DeMarkus about the message, hopefully he could keep Kaylee safer than Rick could. He bit the bottom of his lip, thinking of the thousand and one ways this could go horribly wrong. DeMarkus already took out one tech, and there wasn't a doubt in Rick's mind that DeMarkus could do the same to him.

"Someone around here?"

Rick focused in on the female voice. It wasn't until he caught a glimps of her did he realize who was trying to get his attention. A few of the techs were talking about some woman who had recently brought a few mechs into the bay, most notably a Stalker which was in need of repair almost as much as Rick's Archer. He wish he had paid more attention to the hear-say to at least know the name.

"Yea. Over here by the Archer." Rick threw back the beer after a last sip and tossed the can into the scrap-metal bin near his work station, it crashed with that cheap hollow tin sound that was growing all to familiar.

Standing up, he straightened his oil-stained overals which covered an even more sullied pilot cooling vest. He reached over to the nearby table and grabbed his PDA, and started to walk towards the sheepish voice. He needed to talk to DeMarkus for a moment, and hoped he wouldn't have to face Kaylee.

Looking upon the raven haired giant, his brow raised a bit. For such a shy voice he didn't expect someone so tall, nor to be ... Well, he would save such descriptions for poets, being the wrench-puller he was.

"Umm... Hi. Name's Rick Turven. Most just call me Mop-Boy." Rick froze. He didn't know what was wrong with him, he hated his call-sign, why in Kerensky's seven divisions would he purposely introduce himself like that. He would have started kicking himself if he had time, but for now it was just time to muddle through. "You're the Stalker, right? PILOT! Stalker Pilot! Er... What can I do for you, Mrs....?" His short fat frame couldn't be any more of a contrast to the woman standing before him, and his nerves were just getting worse. If he didn't know any better, he's swear he hit the rock bottom for introductions. Lucky, or unlucky for Rick he knew himself well enough to know he was more than capable of making a further fool of himself than anyone. He was starting to wish Kaylee would save him the trouble and just clock him with a wrench again.

" Call me Elisabeth. Or Liz, like you want" , she said to the small chubby man infront of her. " Yeah, that´s my Stalker. Or what´s left of him. Your friend said you could help me fixing it. "

She could feel, that he was nervous, though she didn´t know why. He looked like a straight person, one you could trust that he knew what he was saying and doing. As far as she could tell, he was a trusty man, and she liked trustworthy people.

" Don´t panic, nothing serious, but i could use a hand from time to time, that Stalker won´t fix itself sadly. And changing a damaged leg alone isn´t easy. If you don´t mind you could come over and help ", she said leaning to one of the Archer´s legs.

Rick smiled wide. "Are you talking about re-pinning the hip-actuator, or replacing the Myomer that's gone rotten?"

Rick pulled a wrench off the table that was almost as large as him, and hoisted it on his shoulder, carrying it like one would carry a bat playing baseball. He gestured for Elisabeth to move to the side slightly, and when she done so he swung. His upper body's strength became evident when the heavy wrench was being swung like a child's toy, the result of being a mech tech who lifts armour plating on his own due to a broken down winch.

The wrench crashed into the armour plate at the ankle of his Archer and the sound began to ring. It was that same sound one would hear when getting struck by an autocannon. Rick jestured to Elisabeth to remain silent for a moment.

And he listened.

Almost a full fifteen seconds went by when the ringing of metal-on-metal contact stopped. Afterwards he leaned the wrench against the foot of his Archer and rested with her. "That high pitch screeching you hear in the ring means her bones are rotten, the skeletal structure is starting to go. May be next week, may be next year, but she'll go. But not before the shocks in the ankle that take up the stress of impact do, because they should have absorbed that hit after two seconds, it went on for 14 and a quarter. Probably doesnt help that if I were to go in there right now without spares of everything, I'd probably cause more damage shifting the rust around than doing repairs."

He turned to the side to look Elisabeth in the eye. He was a lot more comfortable talking about mechs, meant he didn't have to embarrass himself further. After a moment he smiled again, "So, are you looking for an appraisal, labourer, mechanic, parts, partners, shipping, stripping, refitting, scrapping, scrounging, gouging, warping, wraping, myomer replacement, myomer salvage, gyro realignment, gyro recal, burn-cleaning, clearing, re-wiring, internal organization or just good old fashioned jury-rigging?"

He couldn't help thinking he owed DeMarkus one. It was almost enough to bring his thoughts away from his PDA to talk about mechs again.

" That didn´t sound too good to me", she said to Rick.

She listened to his , well, extralong list of things he could do, and obviously she had found the right man to do the job. " All in all ... uh, yeah. You´re pretty much the guy i need to get my Baby up and running again. I got beaten up pretty badly , the left leg is almost gone, the right missile pod to, my cockpit-windows are bursted, half of the armor plates are smashed... the list is long and pretty painfull. I ordered the stuff to replace the broken parts, but only half of it has arrived yet. Rest should be commin´ later, but i dunno when. "

She opened her Jacket and pulled out a small metal box, containing small cigars and a zippo.

" Want one too ? " she asked Rick and offered him the box. " Best ones you can find out there. "

"Well, it shouldn't. She was headed for the scrap yard when I got her. She runs great, but a lot of little jobs to get her combat-ready again."

Never one to refuse an offer, he took a cigar. Reaching to his workbench, he turned on a propane torch and began to light the cigar. The smoke was enough to turn him green, never having aquired a taste for most smokes. He offered the raven haired beauty the flame.

"Replacing the whole leg huh? Well, I can get a few of the boys together. If we had the space to lay it down it might be a little easier, but I'm sure we have the ability to bolt it to the wall to keep it standing while we work. Any specifics you got, or do you need me to go through it to assess what is needing the real work?"

Reaching into his tool-kit, he pulled out a pair of no-name beers. He extended one to Elizabeth. "Want one too? Worst you can find out here."

Gesturing to the bay housing her Stalker, he smiled softly. "Let's go have a look, I'm sure it's not as bad as you think. It rarely is. Well, that's not true, it's usually worse. Ha!"
