Mind you I haven't played since the start of open beta. anyways...

Currently MWO launcher does not have a general lobby.
With all the influx of new people trying the game and the complexity of MWO, I think we do need a central point for people to hang out; for new people to ask questions and get answers from the veteran folk and general discussion of the game.

And browsing through these forum is not necessarily the easiest and quickest way to find answers. Its much easier to ask and answer in a lobby or chat.

The easiest and simplist solution (for a lobby) would be to link the splash page to the chat already provided.

Of course the next problem is to actually have people in the chat...
