1. Use all available cover.
2. Stay together
3. Focus your fire on the same Mech as your lance mates (Team Mates).
4.If a Light from the other side comes into your aoe anyone with line of sight shot him he's spotting you for the long range missiles. (DO NOT CHASE HIM) If you do do not go far and return to your group as soon as possible.
5.If it hard to target in the Mech you have chosen try a different one until you find one that is not as hard to target with (I understand that there are only 4 trial Mechs).
6. Watch the training video.
7.If you don't know or understand something ask your group (Use the Y button to chat in game) someone in the group may be a veteran and they are usually helpful.
8.Ignore the Newb/Noob comments even I got them when I first started. granted Lincoln was still president back then according to some of my friends. I ignore them to.
9.Its easy and normal to get a little excited in the heat of battle, just don't let it go to your head stay calm, and stay focused.

I believe this looks like a Guide. Perhaps it'd serve better over in that section of the forums. Anyways, it's sound advice. Using the environmant, focusing fire, and information-sharing are the trifecta of Mech Warfare.

Don't chase the light mech. It's ok to take pot shots at him but don't chase him down unless you are of equal speed or faster! ( He is trying to lead you away from your group to his group and you will die under focus fire!)
