I was reviewing the price for the CN9-D and it's more than double the price of the other variants of the Centurion. It's price is 8,158,59 c-bills/3,265 MC. That is really outrageous for a 50 ton mech and puts it in the price range for the Awesome and Atlas. I hope that this is an error because no one will pay that price for it.

Does it come with XL+Endo?

Because you'd probably do that anyway, so that actually saves you like 2-3 million right-off...

I didn't realize that 1 medium laser, 1 LB10-X, 1 LRM10, Standard Armor, and Standard Structure is that expensive. The price on the engine is what makes it expensive, but still outrageous. Just like the price on the Cicada 3M model is out of this world. They should have never altered the prices of the mechs from lore since they are sticking to the lore prices for everything else. Why spend MC on it when the YWL is 105 MC more and gives you a 30% premium bonus?

It has an XL300 engine in it. That is the reason for the price hike. That alone is 5.5 million C-Bills.

A hunchback with an XL engine is expensive too. You don't pay for the cost of it all at once so you don't notice so much.

8 mil? That all?

...That's cheap for a MECH, a whole damn mech, you hear?

It comes with a 300XL engine. That's why the price tag. Stockwise, you get a CN9-A with the speed of a commando. I don't know about it's hardpoints though, I'm still patching.

It's a buffet of Lostech, XL engine (bumped up from 200 to XL300), Endo Steel, LBX, Artemis... What were you expecting it cost?

In fact, didn't they just go over how they reworked ALL mech costs so the chassis itself was not much at all and the rest was the total cost of all the gear it comes with?

You realize it has Endo internals, an XL300 engine, and an Artemis-IV FCS, right?

Quote

CN9-D - The D variant of the Centurion is the first of many upgrades using Star League technology. The chassis was re-engineered to use Endo Steel construction techniques. Next the power plant was changed from the standard engine to an extralight engine. In the process the maximum speed was increased to 97.2 km/h. Finally, the weapons were upgraded. The Autocannon/10 was upgraded to an LB-X Autocannon/10 and an Artemis IV fire control system was added to the LRM launcher. The two Medium Lasers were retained. BV (1.0) = 940[13], BV (2.0) = 1,130[14]

That stuff isn't cheap. And the fire control sys increases the cost of your ammo (iirc, not logged in post patch yet).

Sig-worthy. The MW:O economy is pretty generous considering the source material.

The cost for most of the tech level 2 stuff isn't so bad. I just find the LBX10 outrageous. Damn that thing is incredibly expensive, and I'd rather boat machine guns that use that atrocious AC.

If we could alternate between slug and cluster muntions, the LBX10 wouldn't be too bad. But right now it is just terrible.

expensive toys make for an expensive mech

300XL
Endo-Steel
Artemis IV
CASE
LB 10-X AC

all that level 2 tech aint cheap

for the same reason the RVN-3L is more expensive than other ravens, or the AWS-9M is more expensive than other Awesomes, or the AS7-K is more expensive than other Atlases, or the CDA-3M is more expensive than other Cicadas

Except that it doesn't have ES, FF, or Artemis when you buy it. Those you have to upgrade into.

"Too bad?" If we could swap between slugs and cluster, the LB-10X would better than the standard AC/10. Which it's supposed to be. And the AC/10 is only "ok"...

Ok... It would be not too bad...

Is it generous when f2p players in an ammo heavy mech load out barely make any money winning and losing matches? Not too generous if you asked me. They stuck to the lore on prices for equipment and ammo but didn't stick to the lore earnings for mercs based upon mech tonnage. Not really that generous unless you're a wallet warrior.

It's not supposed to have FF, but it IS supposed to have ES and Artemis IV. The patch notes even explicitly mention the A4 attached to the LRM10 when describing the mech.

Doesn't sound like deliberately robbing you. Sounds like a bug/screwup.

Let me get this straight - you found out that mech specifically listed in patch notes as having Artemis in reality doesn't have it and instead of submitting a ticket aboout such an obvious discrepancy you decided to QQ on the forums about prices? For real?
