They seam to disappear when right next to the new "repair" facility. Just fought a match where there were the cap was not going down. Realized there might be a shut down mech and typed it into chat. The enemy mech started up and started to run. Killed him. Cap still would not go down. 3 mechs looked around for another shut down mech. There was none. Started talking into chat again about shut down mechs and a jenner appears out of thin air as it starts up.

Is this a bug or intended?

Sounds like a bug. Being able to camp in your own base and be invisible at the same time literally breaks the gamemode, so there is no way it can be intended.

Send in a ticket...maybe try to replicate it.

EDIT: Oh god, I just realized something. The return emails I get from support are from a GameMaster named Justin Xyang. If you send in a ticket you might get a return email from an individual who failed to claim the name you are currently using lol

It is my real name. :) Very weird bug. never seen it before. I also had the same problem in a later match. Stood on their cap and could not get it to register as capping.

I think I just wasted a jenner trying to pull this off. Ran into our base, straight into the building thingy, shut down and then began dissapearing and reappearing.

Hmmm, interesting bug. In the previous patch, I saw a guy shutdown in his cap area as we swarmed it. He was the last one and we had him pinned 4-5 to 1. We were willing to cap, but oddly, he chose to shutdown in the cap...not fight, not run, just shut down.

He didnt disappear, but I wonder if he was trying this bug. In the patch before that, I remember seeing a guy trying to cap our base, but it wasnt counting down.

Confirming this as a thing. I have seen it happen. t first I was horribly confused and didn't know why the cap wasnt going down. I started to shoot my lasers around the cap point in frustration and noticed that my crosshairs turned red at a spot next to the cap structure. I shot again and a frickin Jenner just appeared out of thin air and ran away. He was doing it on purpose. It appears to be an exploit to prevent caps but the mech is only invisible, not invincible. Just shoot at the cap structure when you get there to Check.

DO NOT post things like this on the forums... Send in a support ticket... You just created a guide on how to cheat and it just got used on us in a game...

Way to go...

Certainly it is reasonable to post here, and with support.

If one group is doing it, than others already are. Attributing your experience to this thread is unreasonable. At least users that read the forum, are made aware of this happening and now know to start shooting the stucture looking for the guys that do that.

A good fix for the structure would be to make sure a mech does not blend with it, and or make it a different color than the shutdown mech.

I had something... went to cap enemy base, wasn't going down.. looked around, finally saw a catapult wedged under the UFO powered down.

He was pretty easy to spot, I would have seen him once I got there but it took a few trips around the UFO for him to show up.

I think if a player wedges himself into the UFO just right they turn invisible. I know if you jump jet onto it bad things happen.

Easy fix. Make shutdown mechs not stop cap.

Yes, this just happened to me, two of us sat in the enemy base for a few minutes with no countdown, then a light mech suddenly appeared.
That is what prompted me to do a search to find this thread, next time I cpa an enemy base, i will both search carefully and open fire.
I don't mind this too much, but they should not be invisible, if they want to sit there powered down and not show on instruments, that seems viable, as long as we can eyeball them.
I a new and love thegame, the developers are doing great work, i have had help from Justine, he answers with speed and clarity.
I like the nature of the freeness of this game, the constant income to the company means this game will be maintained for as longas they have a player base andi expect to be here for a long time.
After a little more practice, i am going to start looking around for a clan to join.
