We NEED a JJ capable assault in this game ASAP.. IMO

I think this is something that a lot of people want, and would help the overall commercial viability of the game more then the current release schedual,

Only 2 assault mechs in the game and the Awesome barely qualifies IMO. Also IM0, We need another assault before more lights, or even before another LRM boat style mech, We also need the 90 ton weight slot filled,. We also need more larger JJ capable mechs. We need a JJ capable assault mech.

The Highlander is the 2nd to last mech announced to date...probably won't get it till next spring!?!?!

Stands to reason there is time for them to re-prioritize it and start work/get it in game sooner.

Who is with me?

---------------------------------------
Short rant: (Yes this is short, compared to many of my posts :P)
I'm tired of all the arm-less chicken legged mechs in game, or scheduled to be added.

Why are the arm-less chicken legged people getting their every desire fulfilled before we get JJ capable assault in this game? I want them to get their toys...but good lord lets let everyone have some cool toys before we bury the kids who like metal chickens (They have no arms!!!) in every metal chicken toy the devs can dig up.

Something for every group!....Before one group gets a crap load and the rest are left hanging in comparison.

As a Qaud lover I'm already screwed. Humanoid or chicken legged mechs with arms are all I'll pilot ;(

*Disclosure*
Poll edited to include the 4th option when we were at 10 total votes, and first 2 options were neck and neck. (8 votes each)

Seeing as the flea is not even on the mech page any more i think that any attempt to figure out what the mech release pattern will is pretty pointless.

no chance they follow your suggestion, but I for one like it. until they fix their netcode and let light mechs go at the speeds they're supposed to be able to go at, light mechs will always be half assed. the lighter the mech, the more lacking in *** proportions they will be. the entire point of a flea / commander is to be able to run around at 196+ kmph. not at max jenner speed while having crappier weapons and armor.

So far it has followed the order of reveals which we can easily see on the concept page in reverse order. http://mwomercs.com/media/concept

Also why you gotta be so hard on the Flea? D: It will signal the introduction of MASC.

You are correct that the game is lacking Assault mechs, but you seem to have forgotten one important thing

The Stalker

The Cataphract comes out next week (a solid 70 ton Heavy mech!) followed by the Stalker next month. 2x lrm10, 2x SRM6, 2x large lasers, 4x medium lasers, teeny tiny cockpit, and presumably high torso rotation (similar to a Catapult), the Stalker will be a beast on the battlefield and comes loaded with lots of Energy and missile hardpoints for a high degree of customization (4x SSRM2 / 6x medium laser Stalker, anyone?)

I didn't forget the stalker....
(I was only in part talking about regular no JJ assault mechs)

It is yet another arm-less chicken legged mech that doesn't fill all the gaps we have in content (Like JJ assault), nearly as well as the Highlander does IMO.

...And like we really needed another LRM boat...yay! (Sarcasm)

The Highlander seem to me the better choice if they're trying to get something in for everyone and keep the content kinda balanced in meeting all the desires of the community.

It's like F'ing Christmas for people who love arm-less chicken legged mechs in this game. The rest of us have kinda gotten the shaft for now, and will pretty much continue to get it with the occasional bright spot for some of us, like the Cataphract. That mech makes sense to get in game now....Stalker doesn't IMO. Highlander does. Heck even the Spider makes more sense.. Finally a light humanoid mech that is jump capable.

Yes, please. We have a really bad assault, and a really...everywhere assault. Meanwhile, there's 299492294 lights, and they're all functionally the same.

Hahah all those thing you suggested would be good. I'd just love to have DX 11. Take some of the load off my awful CPU and put it onto my awesome GPU.

Have they not been pretty faithful in releasing the mechs in the order they are announced?

you can still find the flea announcement here...
http://mwomercs.com/...lemech-16-flea/

It has fallen off the first page, and hasn't been replied to in 8 days. We must all be terribly excited for it.

Pretty sure it was listed in the old closed beta forum.

Don't forget- Approximately one mech per month, mechs released approximately in order they were announced, Cataphract is mech 11, Stalker is mech 12.

Sadly you are probably right...but I had a feeling I wasn't alone in this, and I figured hey maybe if enough of us cry foul soon enough something MIGHT be done.

They say they plan to release mechs faster but considering they had already started on the Cataphract back in late August, pushed back the Nov 13th release date, and made it Nov 20th...

I don't have much faith that we can expect mechs to come much faster anytime soon. Probably sometime in MAY for the Highlander...IF we are LUCKY.

So I suggest they re-prioritize to get the most wanted/needed mechs into the game ASAP, for the sake of its commercial viability.

I want the highlander.

Not the stalker. I do not really like its weapon loadout.

Yep...

I know it is canon that there are more lighter mechs fielded usually...but they have to think about what people want here, and while most may want canon to be respected the majority of the time, my guess is more would rather we had more heavies and assualts in game sooner....or at least hold off on more lights for now (And I pretty much count the Cicada as a light since it is so small, fast, lacks armor and weapons).

I'm pretty sure a JJ capable assault is something many many of us have been dying for too.

Well so far if we add votes from option 1 and 4 which both basically = Get the highlander in game before some other mechs, we have...

Almost 60% so far in favor of making the highlander more of a priority.
