So I saw all the hate and concerns related with 3rd person view and I can agree on many of the issues.

But I know there are players out there like me that want to have the ability to admire that your piloting a giant mech and say to your self " Wow, this mech looks awesome " as you get a sense of scale of how big the mech is, instead of just saying to your self " Wow I feel like I'm piloting a mech!"

So if it really is an issue when it comes to the game I have a few ideas.

1. If 3rd person was put in the game keep it out of the game match making. Instead give a "Simulator" that you can invite your friends to like a custom game from League of Legends and give very small CB rewards for playing the custom "Simulator" matches.

2. If 3rd person is put into match making make it so you can instead do a global view so you can have the chance to look at your mech from the out side before the match starts and is disabled 5-10 seconds after the match starts.

3. Keep it out of competitive play "ranked matches" if put into standard match making.

4. Some how give players the ability to see the colors of their mech so it doesn't become a Skyrim situation where you can spend your time making your character look cool then not being able to look at your self very often.

So here are a few ideas that just came from the top of my head. So in conclusion I want some sort of ability to admire the way my mech looks and give people a reason to buy colors and skins for mechs.

Discuss!

IBTL.

There are two other threads on 3PV and the mods will more than likely close this one or merge it, to keep the forums clean.

I'm liking how they're doing their jobs, keeps the first page clean and with current topics.

Yeah, there was definitely an over reaction. It's one thing to voice your dislike or your opinion; it's quite another to go out, insult the devs like children, and attack everyone who might have a different opinion from yours.

Feedback and criticism is important, but we need to be more civil about the whole process. I don't want this community to get the same rep as Halo/CoD. We have an unprecedented close relationship with the developer while they are creating the game - let's utilize it as a tool, rather than a channel of verbal hate.

Overreaction?

No. At least not from the many people I saw in the 47 pages that actually posted thoughtful responses.

Is wanking to mech **** more important than having a good game?

In my case the answer to this question is no. I'd love to see my mech in 3rd person, but it detracts from the game part of the game.

There is also the sense that gamers tend to be very demanding and if they don't get what they want the game is going to crash and burn or threaten to leave the game completely. It's also natural for the haters to respond to this kind of news first. The announcement of W.o.W. Mists of Pandaria would be a prime example of this.

Everything regarding third person on this forums is horrid underreaction. This game will permanently change for the worse is third person is implemented into the game during combat.

If you want to stare at a mech, then look at a picture. Staring at it while you should be fighting is not productive.

The argument based on "I want to watch the pretty robot" is absolutely ridiculous.

People didn't get over double heatsinks. However, PGI didn't do what they said they were going to do, either directly or in the patch notes. Dbl heatsinks were set to 1.4...but only those mounted outside the engine, the engine mounts are true doubles. Hence there is much much less to complain about then they originally told us there was going to be.

I would like to be able to **** to my mech while the game play remains unchanged.
